Kris was taking the saddle off her horse when Adam came running toward her. “Hey, Woah, you’ll scare her.”
“We have to go. I have to get back home!” He panted.

“Alexi, she, I don’t know, my mother just phoned me, she said Alexi is in the hospital, and it’s not looking good.”
“What?” Kris rushed past him. “I’m just going to grab my stuff. We’ll leave in ten minutes.” She said and ran inside.
