“Hey, Val—staring at your monitor again?” Sia brought me a cup of coffee but seemed tried to sneak on my business here. So I gave her a scowl.
Yet she’s considered a friend though—a family friend, actually. Her mom and dad worked in our company for years. “Thanks for the coffee.” Saka binasa ko ulit ang blog ni Olivia—and it was full of their memories with Yliam most especially about their engagement party. Like damn it!
I’ve been telling to myself that I moved on—but f**k! “You keep stalking at them for what—3 years? Ano ka ba naman, Val.. Nandyan na si papa Treyvor oh..” Kung nakakapatay lang talaga ang tingin, e! Malamang—Sia’s forehead got red shot! Ba’t ba alam na alam niya ang takbo ng utak ko ngayon? She perfectly knew those words circling inside my head—and it’s a bit frustrating like hell.

“You sound so bitter, Val—alam mo? Move on with papa Trey..and I read about the latest blog she wrote—their engagement is it?” Umupo ito sa bakanteng upuan malapit sa working table ko. I took a glance to the two—yung tipong ang saya-saya ni Olivia sa picture? Yung masaya siyang napaiyak niya ako sa lahat ng nagawa kong tulong para sa kaniya?
Masayang-masaya siya—and here I was still feeling the bitterness flooding inside me!
And Yliam? Malayo sa kausap ko noon sa hacienda nila! Olivia can tamed the beast out of him—he’s known for his bad-tempered attitude. Pero ‘pag kasama niya si Via—he seemed the sweetest!

I was born with a golden spoon in my mouth and I have a perfect supportive family who never pressures me.
I have a good job. So f***ing stable! Since I am running my own company but why?
Why it seems—I feel so f***ing insecure everytime I stare at their picture!?
“O, siya—I’ll leave you na. Sama ka—clubbing tayo mamaya. No-boyfriend-is-allowed.. Okay?” I clunged my head and gave her a satisfying nod. I think I need a fresh air to breathe and loose myself. So, yeah why the hell going out clubbing with friends tonight.

I took a glance to my reflection for the last time before grabbing my purse from the table. I wore this simple plain aqua blue dress paired with my stilletos. I pony-tailed my long hair and did big curles at the bottom. I looked good—I know!
I walked out my flat and get inside my car. I started driving—head to where Sia located the club. It’s a decent club and quiet expensive so it’s good for me.
It took fifteen minutes and I finally parked outside the club. Sinipat ko ang lugar—guess they’re here already. I went out and swayed inside the club.
“Valerie! Girl, over here!” I heard that was Sia’s voice and there they were at the second deck of the club. Nakangiti ko silang kinawayan—I instantly saw one friend of ours, Shane. She’s here too.
Napadaan ako sa kumpol ng mga tao na nagsasayawan while heading towards the staircase. But before I could took my first step to ascend—my eyes caught a certain figure seating quietly at the corner with couple of his friends. Yliam?
I froze. My f***ing feet just froze!
Hanggang sa napatingin rin siya sa gawi ko—‘agad akong nagbawi ng tingin and thanked God my feet can walked now!
“Valerie! Miss Valerie Dela Paz?” Napalingon ako sa tumawag sa’kin. It came from Yliam’s table and the man beside him—called me. Sh*t! Is he one my clients? Urg! He seemed was.. Got no choice but to give the man a handshake—God, my feet shaken habang palapit ako sa table nina Yliam. They were no women beside the four men on the table—at pawang lahat ay nakatingin sa’kin.
Hell!
Why not? My valley was a perfect view for them!
I felt so red.. F**k!
“Fred Salvador, right? Thank you for being a client in my company.” I gathered my confidence and thrown my nervousness unto Yliam’s stunned face. He was still seating at the corner and seemed—pretty distracted huh?

“For a very beautiful CEO—why not? By the way, I am with my friends—Markus, Xyrus, and Yliam.” Pakilala nito at napako ang tingin k okay Yliam. I can’t measure what he was exactly thinking at the moment—but I didn’t wanna know.
Well, I’m sure it’s pure negative.
“Yeah, nice to meet you all.” Yet suddenly, my inner evilness crawled gradually and I wanted Yliam’s attention. I demand his attention.
“I know your other friend.” Sabi ko.
“Oh really? Who’s the lucky bastard?” I fakely smiled at Fred and looked straight to Yliam. He felt triggered. I smelled it!
That familiar danger when he’s around me.
“Yliam Lhaire Ademar—my childhood sweetheart who dumped me. Well, hello, baby.. Ako nga pala yung babaeng sinayang mo. Gotta go Fred dahil baka ma-in love sa’kin ulit si Yliam—mahirap na coz he’s engaged right? Bye.” Iniwanan ko silang nakatulala at nakatanga lalo na si Yliam that I was sure—was teased right after I swiftly turned my back and away from their group.

This music of Selena Gomez just let me swayed like there’s no tomorrow. Few shots of margarita hits me hard, huh. The three of us danced and enjoyed the night. Kahit na alam ko na may may mga pares ng mga mata nag-aapoy na nakatingin sa’min ngayon.

“Girl, hatid ko lang ‘to saglit. I’ll be back..” I bid goodbye to Shane and she promised to pay a visit soon. Tsk! Kailan naman kaya yun?
Naiwan ako sa mesa na nag-iisa while sipping my shot. My eyes tempted me to view Yliam’s table but—God, tama na yung napahiya ko siya kanina after three years!
Kahit hindi naman talaga naging kami—but in my mind before. He was mine. And to the thought na ikakasal na siya sa ex-bestfriend ko? I wanna do slow clap for Olivia for a job well done!
My phone vibrated and it was a call from Treyvor. Tumayo ako and was heading to the female’s powder room. I took the call.
“Hey, baby. Where you at? I mean, I was at your door an hour ago and nobody said hello to the poor pizza delivery man..”
“Oh, I am clubbing with Sia. Can you just drop the pizza and leave the poor delivery man?”
“Mas masarap ang delivery man kaysa sa pizza, baby.”
“Tumigil ka nga.. Bye, Trey I have to pee na kasi..”
“See you tomorrow night, baby. I love you.”
“I like you, too.” And I ended the call dahil papasok na ako sa loob when somebody grabbed my ass!
I froze and turned around. Isang lalakeng hindi ko kilala—and he was a totally maniac grinning at me! For hell’s sake!
“Did you just grabbed my f***ing ass, you maniac!?” Sigaw ko sa lalake na mas lalo lamang lumapit sa kinaroroonan ko. Hindi ako nagpatinag—no that’s not me.
“Why, you wan’t some more of grabbing underneath your panty, babe? You’re just so f***ing hot—“ Uminit ang ulo ko sa pinagsasabi niya and there I kicked his balls—hard.

“I’ll catch you!” Narinig kong sigaw ng lalake sa likod ko. Sh*t! Nasaan ba ang bouncer ng club!? Inatake ako ng kaba at nerbyos.
Nang makalabas ako sa club ay may tao akong nabunggo. Humarap ito at rumehistro ‘agad ang pagkainis sa mukha nito. It’s Yliam!

Yet he didn’t say nothing as he didn’t see me. Pumasok ito sa kotse nito.
“Run! I’ll catch you anyway!” Napalingon ulit ako sa likod ko and there the guy was.

Napatakbo ako at nakalimutan ko na may kotse akong dala. My feet seemed had a brain and ran away from the man who was catching me. Tinahak ko ang kalsada habang paika-ikang tumakbo.
“Get in!” Hinihingal akong napahinto sa lalakeng nasa kotse at nagbukas sa’kin ng pintoan. Napalingon ako sa likuran ko at patungo na sa’kin ang lalake. That must be crazy!
“Hurry—get your f***ing ass inside the car!” Yliam screamed at me saka ako dali-daling pumasok sa sasakyan nito. I hooked the seatbelt at parang may karera niya itong pinaandar.
