Diana’s pov

Alright, now the only thing that misses is Daniel! I told Landon to inform him to come in my office before I get here!

Everything is ready! The CD is ready to play but this time we won’t see it from my computer, I have organized it and we’ll watch it on the TV and… Daniel is going to sit on a chair in the middle of the room and away from all the furniture.

What did you think? Seriously!

I know my man so I have to be ready and organize everything and yes! I just called him my man and I mean it, I am excited I did it and it came out of me so naturally!

I really need to tell Daniel about it, I am going to show him the video and then I am going to talk with my (secret) team. I need to make sure we will be ready the sooner, I have a plan and I can tell you the basics but do not tell Daniel or anyone else except from Nikki, Thomas, Parker, Ellie, Andrea, Peyton and my dad! Now, if you put aside Nikki then all the others can help you guess about my intentions because they have relation with the persons I want to come in contact with and these are the previous best 200 fighters of the Kingdom!

Yeap, I want their help because we need the more help we can and I took Martin’s words extremely seriously! That i***t (the rogues’ king) is a coward so if he attacks again, he will have more fighters than we have, this is the only thing for sure but I have other intentions and the previous best fighters of ours are just what we need! Most of them are about 37 years old like my dad and they are strong and ready! They have experience and they will be more than helpful for all of us so we need them close to the palace the sooner! If that jerk says that in three weeks from now, we will have the ‘ceremony’ then he is planning to attack us soon and I have no time to lose!

I want the guys and my dad to help me, we are going to earn time if they call some of them and Thomas, Ellie, Parker and Andrea’s fathers were with my dad some years ago, they know the others and it will be easier and more practical!

And I am sure you want to know why I want Nikki, you are right, I understand you! Only she can make Landon join us and keep his mouth shut and not tell Daniel or the others and even my brother that is going to spit everything to Daniel immediately! I know I can count on Land, I have no doubt but he is going to feel bad about hiding it from Daniel and Nikki can help him deal with it more easily because Land is going to have a quite hard task!

He has to talk to Dominic, Daniel’s friend, the one I met some weeks ago! Dom has hotels at the city and the fighters can stay there without anyone being aware of it! In this way we are going to be ‘safe’, Daniel won’t know, that jackass won’t know and when we need them they will be too close and just in time to help us!

See?

So damn simple! Right?

So now you know why I need a meeting with them but before I ask from them to come here I have to calm down Daniel as well!

Let’s be honest, this is between us, you know me and I know you! Daniel is going to get mad and I am indulgent with the way I am presenting it because in fact he is going to react even worse. Or… This is the worst case scenario I have thought about!

My man (I like it, the more I say it, the better it sounds to me) is possessive, we all know it, he is not very calm with anything that has to do with me and this time he is going to be right in any way he reacts! I won’t get mad at him, I think I am going to agree with him this time because I am trying to put myself in his and I just lose my mind!

I mean… That son of a b***h is threatening Daniel, not me and Daniel is in a different danger than I am so now I know how he feels, I understand and I am ready to help him and not judge him!

I am a little bit nervous to be honest with you but I am not scared, not anymore! Also, I am not worried that much and I am surprised with myself! I trust Daniel and me, I trust us together and I know we are going to make it! Failing is not an option for us now!

I feel different since last day, I feel complete because I listened to him saying he loves me and it was the last thing I needed to take my decision and turn page or maybe… End my past’s chapter and begin a new one with Daniel by my side!

I just found him, I am perfectly fine with him for the first time and he has become the man I always wanted so all we have to do is face that bastard together and once we are done… We will be free to live and… Be together without shades, worries and ghosts!

“Well, well… I have to admit I love your spirit now…” Destiny states smirking wickedly pleased and I chuckle.

She is another big surprise as well! She seems to really like Daniel and I am happy about it and extremely relieved! We are not disagreeing anymore because if you remember we were fighting for Daniel from the first day we came here! When she was softening I was becoming a b***h and when she was the big b***h (admit it, she is worse than me) I was confused, desperate and I didn’t know how to behave, I was in the middle!

“And I don’t know how you changed your mind so much!” I murmur teasingly and honestly in need of an answer and she rolls her eyes.

“Because the boy proved he is not such an asshole! Do you know what? I think I find him sweet and he shows respect! I appreciate and respect it, I can’t close my eyes and keep on being negative for no reason!” she replies shyly like a puppy and I laugh.

Come on, my wolf got sweet and emotional for the very first time! Oh, cutie!

“You are crazy Diana, stop teasing me before I open my mouth to do the same thing to you!” she groans devilishly and I laugh louder accepting her mini challenge but…

My mate has other plans and knocks the door interrupting us and saving Miss Destiny’s ass!

Don’t ask me how I know it’s him… It’s a complex of lots of reasons! First is his mesmerizing scent, second is the way he is knocking (yeap, I can understand the difference now, he has his own way of knocking) and last but not least is the bond! I can feel his presence, he is too close and my heart is already beating faster!

“I am coming!” I yell in joy and look around me for one last time to make sure that everything is ready.

Okay, this is it!

I almost run to the door and take a deep breath before I open! His scent is getting stronger, my skin shudders and when my eyes meet his the very next second I smile breathless.

Is it only my idea or he is getting prettier the more days pass?

His eyes are even brighter, his hair is perfect as always and its shine is capturing my gaze, his lips are irresistible and this is a big problem and his skin… God! I don’t even want to make a comment for his body cause… Um…

I am going to get aroused and then…

Shit! Forget what I just said!

“You asked for me, didn’t you?” he speaks up first breaking the silence with a warm smile on his face and I nod blushing.

Focus Diana, think of why you asked for him to come!

“Yes, and you came! Thank you!” I reply and give him space to walk in.

I close the door when he stops next to me and then take his right hand in mine and lead him to the chair in the middle of the room. We walk in silence, he seems to be confused and I am enjoying how relaxed he is for now. He is following me with no protests and when we are next the chair I stop and turn to look at him with an enigmatic, small smile.

I have to prepare him somehow, right?

And it works, really! His expression turns to a worried one, he raises his eyebrows and shakes his head nervously.

See?

We already know each other, it’s better than I had imagined!

“Sit please…” I whisper pulling him closer and for once more he does what I say.

He takes his seat quickly and I stand next to him with my eyes never leaving his. He is really nervous, he is getting worse as the seconds pass and now this is quite weird for me as well!

“Oh Goddess… Something is not okay here, right?” he asks me after a while and I shake my head weakly.

“Um… Yeah, you could really call it this way!” I mutter thoughtfully and he turns pale while opening his mouth a little bit.

“And just like that I know I won’t like at all what is going to happen!” he murmurs sweating and I smile in sympathy.

I take one more step to him and stop on his right, I am standing right next to him and I take his right hand in both of my hands. He sighs heavily, he is like I am going to kill him on the electric chair and I know I can’t delay it for more. The last thing I want is him passing out on me!

Let’s be honest, he does know me otherwise he wouldn’t have been freaking out that much!

“Alright, are you ready?” I ask breathless but not in so much tension and he nods firmly.

“Just don’t leave my hand and… Be calm because I am definitely not!” he replies and stiffens.

“Deal, so… Look at the TV!” I state and take the remote control from my jeans’ pocket.

I press the play button and the black screen turns white and yes…

The asshole is here again!

I turn my head to Daniel this time, I don’t want to see that bastard and all that matters me right now is Daniel that seems to realize immediately what is happening because his eyes darken dangerously and he presses his lips together!

Just then we listen to him again, well I listen to him again, it’s the first time for Daniel and I hope the last one!

“Diana, I am looking forward to see you, I am excited and I am counting the days! In three weeks from now it’s our coronation’s ceremony so… Get ready my Queen! A great future is waiting for us!”

And this is when I think I am losing my mate because for some seconds he is frozen! He is not moving, he has a blank expression with his eyes almost black and no noise is getting out of his throat and I can say that my heart has stopped beating and Destiny has perked her ears in agony.

Damn!

Waiting is killing me and he is not very helpful, I have no idea what he is going to do next and…

Explosion!

He stands up growling, leaves my head and starts screaming and cursing, he is fuming, he has turned red in a second and I am officially speechless.

Damn! I was somehow expecting it but I am not so used to it!

“I WILL KILL HIM!” he roars and I stay like an i***t staring at him.

Oh, man… NO!

“HE JUST SIGNED HIS DEATH WISH!” he continues and I nod pressing my lips together.

Of course he is and do not doubt Daniel, he is going to kill him, I have a feeling and… I trust my man, he is the strongest there is but enough is enough!

If he keeps on being so furious my office has no chance against his rage and the last thing I want is another one so I take some steps to him and he observes me breathless with a quite blind expression now.

He has paralyzed suddenly and when I reach him I take him by the hand again and put him to sit for once more but this time I sit on his lap and start caressing his shoulders with both of my hands.

He is not moving, he is just staring at me in the eyes quite lost and calmer than some seconds before but I feel him shaking uncontrollably because it was a lot for him to take.

He is right to be so angry, his reaction is logical and I am proud of him because he has broke nothing even though I took care of it and he is relaxing quickly. This time is was quite easy for me to make him stop and he allowed me to help him, I mean I am trying to help him!

“He is doing it on purpose, he wants to get us panicked!” I say calmly and continue caressing his shoulders without taking my eyes from his.

By the way they are getting brighter again and his face’s muscles are not so dense anymore, he is also breathing now and I can feel his heartbeat getting slow and steady again!

God, thank you!

“He wants to drive me crazy!” he states through his teeth with bitterness and I smile in sympathy.

And this, I can’t deny he has a very big point here!

“But he won’t make it!” I say smiling warmly and he groans leaning closer to me.

I hold my breath from his intense look and he smirks in a really scary way. I think he is up to something or he knows something and… I am not so sure this is good!

“Is this why you went to Martin?” he asks not mad at all and I stiffen forcing an innocent smile.

“I can smell him on you, it’s not so difficult and you didn’t want to hide it from me anyway!” he adds and I nod moving my hands higher, on his neck.

He got me (but I did it on purpose)!

“I wanted to ask him how he looks like so we would be sure it’s not any game of his!” I reply truthfully and he nods in understanding.

“Alright, I see…” he whispers and leans so close that only an inch is separating us now.

I don’t pull back, I am losing myself in his eyes and I take his scent with slow, deep, steady breaths. I guess we are coming too close again after some days and I have missed it! Do I have to mention that our mood is changing?!

You know exactly what I mean…

“Thank you!” he whispers again after a while and I smile confused.

Huh?

“Why?” I ask not able of understanding him and feel him wrapping his arms around me in a really gentle way.

“Because…” he begins and stops making me really impatient.

“Yes?”

“You are here, with me… Right?” he asks trembling and I sigh overwhelmed realizing what he means.

Fuck! My skin shivers, it’s like a wave of pleasant energy is running through my body and I want to scream because he is so damn cute and nervous at the same time!

He is always making my heart melt when he is trying to say something about us and he is acting like a small sensitive boy!

I smile forcing myself not to cry or even tell him I know he loves me because this need appears out of nowhere and nod while wrapping my arms around his neck.

“Yes, that’s right! I am here and… I am WITH YOU!” I say emphasizing my last two words and he gasps trembling against me.

Our hearts are going to explode, seriously, I feel his and mine is not staying back! She follows his heart’s rhythm!

“Nobody is going to win us! Okay?” I whisper breathless and before he tries to reply I crash my lips on his.

I start kissing him passionately without thinking about it! I can’t be patient, I can’t wait, I can’t be logical and I don’t want to be!

His lips on mine feel amazing and he replies to my kiss immediately! He doesn’t look to be surprised, he was waiting for it and I am excited we are communicating like this already! I bury my hands in his hair and he tightens his hold around me when we deepen the kiss and he presses his hot tongue in my mouth. I give him full access and control and moan feeling my lust for him building up!

I feel hot and he is shaking under me but he doesn’t stop! He keeps on kissing me unwilling of letting me go and the more we are so close, the more ready I feel to take it further!

I can’t breathe and his taste is delicious, I am getting ecstatic and so is he because he is moving his hands up and down on my back in impatience. I think I am going to start screaming from desire and I move a little bit above him so I can be more comfortably but damn!

This is a big mistake because he growls annoyed and I think you know exactly why, I feel him getting hard, I could already smell his arousal and he can surely smell mine!

“I missed you! I miss you all the time!” he whispers breathless harshly when we break the kiss the next second and I rub my nose on his with my eyes half opened looking right into his.

I am trying to catch my breath and his words are not helping me, I can’t even think and the words leave my moth instinctually.

“I miss you too… When we are not together, I…” I say and pause trembling.

“Yes?” he asks in a husky tone and stiffens making me moan again.

“I feel…” I add and grab his hair fighting to find the right words that don’t seem to exist anymore.

I am lost and desperate! I can think nothing else than us! I want more and he is making all of my emotion and needs stronger with his presence, his touch and the way he is holding and looking at me!

I think he is going to eat me and I f*****g want it as well, I won’t stop him!

“What do you feel love?” he asks in despair and my barriers fall completely.

“Half!” I cry and he opens his eyes widely while burying his one hand in my hair ready to lose his control.

God, I wish he loses him!

“And I because I need you!” he states and with this he kisses me again in an even wilder way I could have never imagined.

I just love it, it is wild and harsh but at the same time gentle and the emotions have overflowed, my body is going to explode and the butterflies in my stomach have gotten doubled.

I keep on kissing him like crazy and I don’t realize when he is standing up with me in his arms. He is not breaking our kiss and he carries me in bridal style to the big couch some meters away.

I open my eyes only when he places me on it but I don’t wait for his next move because I pull him on me and lay on the couch. I feel his whole body landing above mine and the feeling is unbelievable!

He is massive and his body is so hard, there is no part of my body that is not touching his and soon I take the decision that I want more and this time I am going to make the first move!

I move my hands lower, they travel to his neck and stop on his shirt’s collar. He growls understanding my intentions and I unbutton the first button but we don’t break our kiss, we can’t!

I continue unbuttoning his shirt with shaking hands and when I reach at the point there are no other buttons and the shirt is inside his trousers I pull it out and he growls huskily breaking our kiss.

I lock my eyes on his dark green full of lust ones and I place my hands on his hot chest.

Both of us are shaking, we can’t breathe, we are red and I am sweating like crazy!

His eyes are full of hunger and desire, I have never felt something so strong between us and I observe him lowering his gaze on my sternum after some seconds. My body trembles more than before and I know what he is thinking about, I can read his thought but I also know he doesn’t want to pressure me so he won’t even make a move for it and this is why…

I take his hands in mine and place them at the beginning of my shirt’s buttons!

I am ready and he has to know it, I need to show him I want it and I am sure!

The shock on his face is priceless as his eyes open widely and he gasps speechless.

This is right, I know it now!

“Do it Daniel!” I almost command him whispering and the very next moment he has buried his face in my neck and feel him unbuttoning my shirt.

I close my eyes and move my right hand on the back of his head keeping him steadily in my neck and I place my left hand on his back. He is kissing my neck nonstop, I am moving impatiently under him and he reaches on my stomach in no time!

His bare hot skin touches mine when he pulls the fabric of my shirt on the sides and I pull him lower on my sternum and close to my bra.

I want to scream as he starts licking and sucking my skin and I wrap my legs around his waist in despair. I moan and move in impatience under him as he groans not taking his lips and tongue from me and the feeling between my legs turns almost painful and I can’t ignore it!

“Daniel!” I cry out when he bites gently my flesh too close to my bra and presses his left hand inside it taking my breast in his palm.

“You… Are… Killing me!” he growls huskily and I tighten my legs’ hold around his waist with his manhood pressing me even more.

“Diana!” he groans in annoyance and pulls back to kiss me on the lips again.

I can’t believe this is happening, it’s like a dream, the heaven I had no idea it existed and I think I am going to die!

And I am sure, now more than ever! I am ready for him and I have missed him like crazy, I need him, us!

I have never felt like this and I know that last day everything changed between us because of the Tree’s gift!

My hesitations were here only because I needed to listen to him saying he loves me and now they are all gone, they won’t come back and I wish I could tell him I love him but I won’t because my instinct tells me to wait for it just for a little bit more!

The right time is going to come too soon!

I bite his lower lip on purpose in order to tease him after some seconds and he cries out in my mouth but then…

“Diana!” she screams and before I react comes his voice!

“Daniel!”

NO WAY IN HELL!

We break the kiss surprised yet panicked and snap our heads to the door in at the same time to see…

I promise you I am going to kill them! What idiots!

Landon and Violet!

And just like that the four of us freeze on our places and I am turning red from embarrassment and anger, not that Daniel is not angry and how could he not be when these two idiots break into my office without even knocking?!

For some time nobody moves, we are just staring at each other, Landon is turning pale, he has his eyes widely open, he can’t take his gaze from us and Violet is speechless and her mouth is so widely open that she is going to be in pain in a while.

Daniel moves first and closes my shirt as much as he can, just enough to hide my bra and I turn to look at him in despair.

I can’t believe they found us in such a position that it makes everything even more humiliating!

FUCK!

I shake my head nervously and Violet starts screaming, clapping her hands and yelling breaking the silence and giving me an even harder time, I am passing out, get ready!

“FINALLY! YES, YES, YES!” she screams ecstatic and Landon decides to join her, he can’t keep his mouth shut anyway and I am impressed Daniel has not killed them yet!

“OH MY GOD! WE ARE SO SORRY!” he yells and I blink my eyes.

Yeah, sure, you convinced us all Landon destroyer of hot scenes (I know you, see?)!

“DON’T YOU DARE STOP BECAUSE OF US!” he adds quickly before we react and raises his hand warningly.

This can’t be happening! No!

“CONTINUE, DON’T STOP! WE ARE LEAVING YOU ALONE AGAIN!” Violet screams for once more with her turn and Landon nods immediately.

“OH, WE ARE JUST GOING TO TELL EVERYONE! I AM SO EXCITED AND HAPPY FOR YOU!” she continues as she closes the door behind them and I turn again to Daniel.

He has the same, stupid expression I have! He is staring at me like a statue and now he is pale like a sheet. I am in the same state of mind with him probably, I can’t say even a word for what just happened and my mind has stuck!

They ruined everything, didn’t they?

I am going to kill them, I will start with Violet, I will make her scream, really, I swear!

And Landon… This is the second f*****g time he does something like this and I forgave him some weeks ago (okay, maybe he saved me and I needed it back then) but now I didn’t want from him to save me, I loved it!

“Did it really happen?” he asks me after a while with his eyes narrowed from embarrassment and annoyance and I nod biting my lower lip but the next second we break into laughing.

This was ridiculous and now that I am thinking about it, quite funny!

They were staring at us like we were ghosts and Violet was just lost!

Yes, I was mad one second ago but now I can’t be and Daniel is making it worse because he falls on me with his full weight, buries his face in my neck and he tickles me in this way! This is the last thing I can deal with, his laugher is so loud and soon I feel my stomach hurting me and my eyes get filled from tears.

It’s like someone has turned the switch on and we can’t stop no matter how much we want to!

“I am dying!” he says laughing and coughing at the same time and pulls back so he can look at me.

I nod unable of replying and he moves his hands on my face to wipe my tears. We gradually stop laughing so much with our eyes locked on each other’s and when we are calm enough he places his forehead on mine and we close our eyes sighing heavily in the other’s mouth.

Our bodies relax completely and we stay hugged in silent. It doesn’t feel awkward all this, I have no problem my shirt is open and my skin is touching his and I am not ashamed of what we did!

This is a small step and a good start I guess because all the previous times I was blushing like a tomato and the poor Daniel was trying to give me space.

This feels great, finally and we really needed it!

Looks like the bastard did something really good to us, now we owe him and I guess I can delay his death for some torturing minutes when we find him! This is a big favor, he is lucky, really! I am not saying it will be pleasing for him but he is going to live some minutes longer.

Daniel clears his throat after a while that feels more like a week to me and we open our eyes in union smiling. He has gotten emotional and I am touched, I can’t hide or deny it, it is impossible from now on!

We feel the same way and this is all that matters!

“Do you have problem with it?” he asks me with complaint and concern and I instantly know what he means.

He is referring to Landon and Violet telling everyone about how they found us and what we had been doing. I love the fact that he cares so much and he doesn’t want to put me in difficult situation! He puts me above everything, he respects my needs and my feelings, he proves his love and the answer is one, there is no other from now on!

“No problem at all! Let them know!” I reply and he smiles excited and relieved.

He really wants to feel my acceptance, he is behaving differently these last days, he is full of life and joy, he is a small cheerful boy and I am glad he feels this way!

We are getting better, both of us, because we have each other and this means everything!

It is clear to me now, we will make it because one thing is for sure…

There is love between us!
