A BROTHER'S LOVE

ACT I, SCENE 4

The scene begins just outside the office of commander Tola, the young head of technologies at NSS lays eyes on Jamal and immediately approaches him due to the fact that she has a momongous crush on him.

C0D3: Heyyyy, heyyy, Jamal, How are you doing where have you been.

Jamal: Hey Mia, I'm alright, how are yo.......

C0D3: (Grabs him by the wrist and drags him to her office) come with me, I have new tech for you. (locks the door immediately her and Jamal get into her office)

Jamal: Hey uhm, there's no tech here.

C0D3: Yeah, I just wanted to talk to you.

Jamal: Alright, go on.

C0D3: So, I have this crush on a guy but I don't know what to even tell him.

Jamal: Well, you could try handind subtle hints to your crush, if he's smart, he'll know.

C0D3: Oh, ok, you want to know my crush?

Jamal: Of course, spill it out. Who's captured your devastating heart.

C0D3: Well, it's you.

Jamal: Yu? Is he chinese?

C0D3: If we were to go by what you said earlier, you're not smart because you don't know even after I told you.

Jamal: Hey, I don't even know who this Yu is, besides, I am beyond smart, I have a perfect IQ.

C0D3: You're so hopeless.

Jamal: Your words are just direct contraictions, you're both a moron and an oxymoron.

C0D3: Who are you actually in love with? Maria?

Jamal: Nah, I and Maria just flirt.

C0D3: Flirt with me then.

Jamal: I'd rather be in a coma!

C0D3: You're such a pain, but there really is nothing more painful than watching the one you love and care for love someone else.

Jamal: Okay, what are you telling me this.

C0D3: Let's go out then, take me out for lunch.

Jamal: You're always telling me to take you out, you can pay an assassin to do that for you tho.

C0D3: Lol, let me take you out then, let's get some food and drinks, today's your off day, we can spend the day together, hey, we might even spend the day together.

Jamal: What the f**k! Ewww no, I'd rather fall in a coma.

C0D3: Jamal, don't you love me?

Jamal: Of course I love you, you're my best friend.

C0D3: Ouch! Alright then, I wanted to show you some new tech right? Come with me then.

Jamal: Alright. (Follows her closely)

C0D3: (stops walking) Jamal, you have to know, once you lose me, you'll never find another like me.

Jamal: Thank God, I don't wish to anyways. I already rejected you like ten times, doesn't that break your heart.

C0D3: Upper level demons like me have twenty hearts.

Jamal: Uh, ok.

C0D3: Remember when you forced me to come to your house when you weren't even around.

Jamal: I told you no one was home but you still said you wanted to come over.

C0D3: You could have told me you weren't around, you just said no one's home and when I said I wanted to come over, you said ok, I was obviously going to think you were home.

Jamal: My apologies then.

C0D3: If I said I love you. will you at least say it back.

Jamal: Of course.

C0D3: I love you.

Jamal: It back, there you go, I said it, I said it back just like you asked.

C0D3: God, I hate you.

Jamal: Meh.

C0D3: So, why don't you have a lover?

Jamal: My parents are strict, why don't you have a lover?

C0D3: Because your parents are strict. Jamal, I just want us to be more than best friends.

Jamal: Super best friends?

C0D3: More than that.

Jamal: Super ultra best friends?

C0D3: Why are you doing this to me?

Jamal: What am I doing? Where's the tech anyway?

C0D3: Three words, eight letters, say it and I'm yours(moves closer).

Jamal: Three words, eight letters, there you go, I said it.

C0D3: Love is just a word right, why does it hurt so much when you realize it isn't there.(breaks down in tears)

Jamal: Mia, what's wrong? What happened?

C0D3: It's fine, never mind. I have no tech to show you, but look at this. (Brings out her smartphone). We actually look like a couple here, (shows a picture to Jamal).

Jamal: Yeah, a couple of best friends. There's no tech here, so, I'll be on my way to see my little sister, you're welcome to come with me.

The scene comes to an end as agent code opens the door and Jamal exits with code following close behind.
