After what felt like hours, Doc and the nurses came out of my room.
“How is she?” I asked, the worry filling my voice.
“She is resting comfortably now but I am extremely concerned about her condition.”
“Have you found out anything about her medicine?”
“No, and I’m curious why she stopped taking it.”
I took a deep breath and ran my hand through my hair. “It went missing.”
He looked alarmed.
“She said last time she went days before getting sick.” Doc said, looking down.
“But she got sick after only a day this time.” I finished for him. Realizing we didn’t have as much time as I thought to figure out what was wrong with her.
“Alpha. She is asking for you.” One of the nurses said, breaking the silence.
“Finn is Alpha.” I said, rushing past her to Harper.
