The following day we had a plan. It had to wait till the weekend and I needed to make sure Luke kept his mouth shut until then. Thank goodness school was almost over because it was getting in the way.
“Luke, I need you to come with me.”
“I don’t think this is a good idea.”
“Listen. On this trip I will break-it off with Declan but I’m afraid to do it without support. The mate bond makes it so hard.”
“But what if he kills us?”
“He can't. I’m his mate.”
“But I’m not.”
“If he hurts you, I will make it clear how badly it would hurt me. Please? Plus, you can tag me in all your posts on insta and he would never do anything with people knowing where you are and who you are with.”
“Is this really the only way?”
“Yes and it has to happen this weekend.”
“Fine.”
