We had barely settled back into our lives when Dylan started sneaking around again. I couldn’t understand why he insisted on keeping all these and even the unnecessary secrets. I now knew that he was related to Damon and the former king, so I couldn’t understand what else he could possibly have to hide from me. I couldn’t understand why he was back to sneaking around as if there was still a part of him that I didn’t know.
I wanted to confront Lizzy and ask why Dylan acted like this, but I had to pause and think clearly without my emotions clouding my judgment. While Dylan was out chasing whatever it was that he was chasing, I may as well start chasing my own things and make sure that Damon paid for what he had done to my father.
