ALYSSA’S POV The doctor had been true to his word, and he had discharged me the following day. What he had chosen to ignore, however, was the fact that I had told him that I had nowhere to go. To be honest, I don’t even know why I said that to him. It’s not like he could help me get a place to stay or anything like that, and yet I felt comfortable telling him my problems. After being released from the hospital, I hung around the reception for a little bit. I was just trying to figure out what the next step would be. I was trying to figure out where I would stay and how I would be able to survive. I had no idea about how things were done in the human world.
