Rejected Mate

Chapter Two

Ava's P. O. V

I can't wait to turn 18. I want to discover my mate so he can take me out of this horrible place. Iam tired of being everyone's punching bag. They say disgusting things to me and yet when I try to defend myself they get more angry and aggressive.

She goes down to the kitchen and starts preparing the pack's breakfast. After she's done cooking, she sets the table and heads off to the river to wash their filthy clothes. They had a washing machine but they liked to see her swollen hands after washing the whole pack's clothes.

While she's washing the clothes, Ayden the Alpha's son who was about to become the Alpha of his pack comes along with his friends including Steph. They see her washing clothes and singing in her melodious voice. Steph picks up the clean clothes that she had washed and dropped them in a mud puddle.

Ava stands up and yells at him.

Ayden slaps her hard across the face and his friends burst out laughing. Ava tries her best to control her tears but doesn't succeed. "Oh look at this cry baby hahaha.....," Steph laughed. Ava decided to ignore their teasing and carry on with her washing. Ayden and his friends go away after getting a call from his dad.

Ayden's P.O.V

We were teasing Ava when my dad called me over and said that he had something important to discuss with me. When I reach his private office he tells me that I would have to become the Alpha tomorrow. I was shocked and asked him the reason. He said that he was old and worn out so my mom decided that he needed a vacation.

I agreed to that and then dad called the head-servant and told him to get everything ready. I was really excited about this whole thing. I headed downstairs and saw Ava coming in with two buckets which looked dangerously heavy, not that I care about it. She looked like an old tree which would collapse to the ground any minute.
