Third person POV:
The room was agitated once again, this time by silver light. It rained in beams like moonshine.
Next was the sound of wings, slicing and cutting through the silence.
Sky walked out the door, his eyes unfazed. Sitting on his arm was a hawk of shining silver, feathers glinting like stars moving. Its eyes burned like the night sky itself.
Caelum spread its wings, and then all the runes in the room blazed, as if the stars themselves bow in acknowledgment.
Star's eyes watered. She came running, stopping just short of her brother. Her hand was shaking, but her smile was beaming. "You did it… Sky, you actually did it."
Sky dropped his hand, allowing her to caress Caelum's feathers. The hawk permitted it, slightly inclining its head, and Star's breath caught.
