The Crash

Serenity Pov "Selene, please, turn the ship back around," I begged and pleaded with her. She finally stabilized the ship and I was able to stand up and walk over to her.  "I can't believe everyone thinks I'm so weak I need to be lied to," Selene sighed. I grabbed her hands and knelt in front of her. "You, my beautiful twin sister, our not weak. I thought you didn't want to be the Phoenix King anyways," I told her. "I guess I naturally accepted it but you were showing all the signs of her true heir. I just wish I had a fighting chance and I could be able to make THEM proud too." "Our parents are proud of you," I reassured her. "I know they aren't," she said sadly. "Can we go back home now?" I asked her. "Serenity, why don't we go away from this. All the training and responsibility," she said. "Selene, we can't just run away," I huffed. "No, just for a little while, and then when we go back home I will formally accept my fate and you will accept yours," Selene explained. "I won't go back to the spirit temple." I didn't know what to say. I thought Selene finally accepting the truth would be better for both of us but that just meant I had to-. "Okay, fine," I agreed to go only because I was afraid of what accepting my fate really meant. I didn't know where we were headed to but I knew as long as I had Selene we would be fine. I figured I would tell Cloud when we arrive and not let Selene know. I can't have our fathers worrying about us, let alone the Phoenix King aka our mother. "So, any place, in particular, we are heading?" I asked Selene again. "You'll see, I think I choose somewhere really nice," she said. I rolled my eyes and tried to think of where we were headed. You weren't even in our galaxy anymore. "Can I at least help you fly this thing?" I asked again. "No, I think I got it. Let me at least have one skill over you," she said. I sat next to her and just waited. Suddenly, we heard a beeping sound. "Selene, what is that," I asked her. "I don't know," she answered. "I think it's warning us about something." "Well, obviously but what is it warning us about?" I shouted. "I looked around at the controls and nothing seemed off. "Serenity," I heard my sister call. I was too busy looking at the sight in front of us. "Holy Spirits," I said. "That's the asteroid belt!" "Selene, what the hell," I tried to get control of the ship before we hit something. "You know there are things like this out there. Why would you come here?" "It's fine, I know where I am going," she pushed me out of the way but my grip was tight around the gears that the whole ship moved. "STOP!" I shouted. "We need to get out of here."None of these planets are even inhabitable." "There is one," Selene explained. "Selene, please we have to get out of this place," I shoved her again and she shoved me back. There were so many asteroids floating nearby. "Serenity, STOP!" Selene shouted and shoved me even harder but she pushed the controls and tilted the entire ship to one side. We heard a loud bang and knew we hit something. Selene tried to steady the ship but she just ended up hitting another one. Selene was losing control of the ship and it had started another beeping noise. This one was louder and red flashing lights turned on. "Selene!" I shouted. She was freaking out, hitting whatever button she could find. I felt the ship speed up. "Selene, stop please just don't push anything," I told her. I tried to get to her but the ship was moving too quickly. We had made it out of asteroid belt and were passing other objects and planets very quickly. I felt the ship jerk a few times. "Serenity, what's happening?" Selene asked me. I got up and tried to reach her. "The ship is being pulled into the planet's atmosphere," I told her. "We have to shield ourselves. This planet isn't used to having other planet visitors." I reached the button and as I pushed it I felt another jerk and the ship took a nosedive. "Serenity!" Selene Pov "Where am I," I groaned as I felt my body ache from the sudden fall. "Ouch." I felt broken glass all over the ground. I tried to get up but it was almost impossible. I couldn't move and I couldn't find my voice to yell for help. Serenity could always feel when I was in trouble or hurt. She will come for me. I really wanted to believe that but then I heard another loud THUD! and then a BOOM! "Help!" I shouted. I began to hear sirens and loud horns. I knew this was my fault. Everything bad that happens is always my fault. "Where are you Serenity." I got up and looked around. The ship crashed and so many vehicles were coming this way. I knew the ship was shielded from view but it still caused a loud noise during the fall. I had to leave but I didn't see Serenity. I was worried and couldn't sense her not that I ever could but still, I had to try. I did this, this was my fault. I wanted to cry but I knew it would not help me with my current problem. I had to find Serenity and go back home. Here I thought we would be able to have an adventure just like our grandfather. That's why I choose this place. This planet. I thought just like him, we would be able to find our true selves and our destiny but all I did was lose my sister and wreck our ship. Before I left I turned on the ship's beacon so when someone does go looking for us, which I know won't take long. They will be able to find us. I didn't know where to start looking but I know this was no time to be afraid. I had to find my sister and make sure we stay safe.
