Chapter 15

**Elliott POV**

If I thought I was having a hard time keeping my wolf under control during the kiss, smelling my mate’s scent amplified by the bath products Cleo had expertly selected was going to absolutely drive me over the edge. It didn’t help that with advanced hearing, I caught a few small moans, probably from the feeling of a warm shower I’d been basically taking for granted my whole life. The problem was they sounded so pleasurable that it was all I could do to leave clothes at the bathroom door and not demand to shower along with my mate to get a look at her naked form.

I breathed in the fresh air, willing my self control to bulk up and help me out here when my mate’s scent hit my nostrils stronger than ever. I heard her padding across the room before I saw her saunter outside. I realize this sounds dramatic because we’d just met, but she’d never looked more beautiful. Her hair looked even brighter red, her curls looked immaculate, and her eyes looked bright and full of energy. Clearly the shower had done some interesting things for her self esteem, and i was all for it.

“Thank you so much for letting me take a shower!” Jade cried, grinning ear to ear.

“No problem! I’m still in my clothes from the banquet and i’d love to grab a quick shower myself. Can i get you some wine or something while you sit out here and wait for me?” I ask her, regretting even asking if she’d want wine immediately. I didn’t want to give her the impression that i was trying to decrease her inhibitions for my own gain.

To my surprise, Jade’s face lit up like a Christmas tree. “I’ve never had wine! I’d love some!”

I opened the wine fridge under the bar below the big screen tv I’d had installed for the guys and i to watch football outside when the weather was nice enough. I selected the sweetest white wine i could find, knowing that if this was her first drink ever she’d likely not want something too strong. I grabbed a glass and poured her a small amount to see how she liked it and handed it to her.

I fought back a chuckle as I watched Jade gingerly grab the glass and sniff deeply into the cup. “Wine always smelled so good!” She said seemingly only to herself. She looked like she was hyping herself up for a few second and all of a sudden, she quickly put the glass to her lips and took a generous drink. “I LOVE THIS!” She giggled.

“Okay, well if you like it I’ll leave the bottle on this side table beside the chairs here and you can have another glass or two while you relax. Do you think you’ll want to listen to music?” I said, taking my beautiful mate by her soft hand and leading her to one of the comfier seats on the balcony, grabbing her a fluffy blanket from the compartment in the bottom of the side table.

“I’d LOVE some music!” Jade exclaimed as she lowered herself into the chair, looking immediately relaxed. She looked delighted when i covered her with the blanket. It was clear to me that pleasing her would be pretty easy.

I decided not to make Jade feel like she had to share every sad detail of her old pack so she didn’t think she had to tell me anything more before she was ready, so I chose the music for her without asking what kind she’d want. I knew she’d just tell me those bastards didn’t let the omegas listen to music. I chose something mellow but interesting enough to hold her attention while i showered. As bohemian rhapsody began to play, i leaned down and kissed her on the cheek. “Alright, love I’m just going to grab a quick shower and i’ll be out in a few minutes. Help yourself to more wine but remember to go slow since it’s your first time…. Drinking, that is.” I added awkwardly. I snuck one final look at her before heading inside to get my much needed shower, and from standing over her, I could see her scrumptious looking cleavage a little bit too well. She looked entirely too sexy in that sweater, what was i thinking giving her THAT sweater while I’m trying to restrain my i***t wolf.

“I heard that!” Aries growled grumpily.

“You were meant to.” I shot back.
