Chapter 3

Savannah POV

Mum drops me off at my new school-it's a huge three storey building there's a big Car park for student and staff parking and a big field for sports and an out door eating area.

'Have a good first day sweetie love you'. My mum kisses me on my cheek.

I kiss my mum good bye and head to the front door - I get some odd looks and people whispering but I pay them no attention.

'Savannah Adams?' I look up to see a 6ft tall muscular man with bright green hair and bright blue eyes and from his dress sense I would say he's gay

'Yes can I help you?'

'MMm baby girl it's me who can help you, my name is Duncan Lewis I'm here to welcome you to Blue Moon High and may I say girl you are fine!'

I like him immediately he takes me to the office to pick up my class schedule

'Girl we have all the same classes together and at lunch I will introduce you to my friends'.

We head to our first class as I enter I get a whiff of vanilla and lavender it's intoxicating

'Mate Mate!! He is here!'. Amber howls in excitement

'Wait mate?' Before I can press Amber Duncan motions for me to sit down.

Before I know it's lunch time and Duncan is introducing me to his friends and they are all cute girls and boys and gay Duncan introduces me to his mate - his names is Winston Chambers he is just like Duncan except Winston is more masculine.

I sit in the sunshine talking with my new friends I don't feel ready to tell them everything I'm just about to finish my lunch when I hear the word 'Mine'.

I look up my eyes wide open I look around the group - they all have shocked expressions on their faces, I stand up and turn around to find my self looking into the eyes of Daniel Simpson

Daniel POV

I'm having breakfast with my best friend and future beta Tyler Smith I'm future Alpha to the Blue moon pack and I can't wait to find my mate.

I had a phone call from my mum asking me to welcome Savannah to the pack - I remember her from when we were kids I used to be mean to her I remember she was a chubby girl with thick curly brown hair and freckles. I promised mum I would welcome her and be nice.

I'm sat in my first class right at the back with Tyler and his mate Clhoe and my futer gamma Elliot Mathers and his mate Amanda - suddenly I get a whiff of strawberries and honey it's mouth watering. My wolf Ajax goes crazy

'Mate' He growls

I try to discreetly stand up and sniff the air but the others catch me

'Dude what's gotten in to you and one would think you found your mate?' Tyler remarks

I shake my head and sit down I can't get Ajax to shut up

'Bro! Settle down we are in class now even if she was here we can't go tearing round the school looking for her we need to be patient!'

'I know it's just her scent it's intoxicating'.

The others continues to look at me

'Ajax think our mate is here I' m having a hard time calming him '

' Well sh** congrats man, look we'll help you look for her at lunch'. Elliot suggests the others agree.

At lunch we start searching the school Ajax is getting restless we head out side and I get a strong wiff blowing in the breeze I mind link the others

'She is outside'

'Coming Alpha'

I follow the scent then I see her she has her back to me but I can see her long brown straight hair and curvy waist and hips I can't wait to have her legs and hips wrapped around me - Focus! I walk up to her and say 'Mine!' she stiffens slightly looks around the group stands up and turns around her face falls

'Savannah?'

Savannah POV

'Daniel?' I smell his scent my face falls No! Anyone but him not my childhood bully

'Mate! He' s changed Savannah!

' Don' t even go there or did you forget what he did to us the last time we saw him! '. Amber whines

I grab my bag and walk away from the situation with tears threatening to fall what makes it worse is he still hanging around with Tyler and Elliot they to were the cause of my misery.

I go to my locker Duncan comes after me

' Baby girl what was that all about?'.

He rubs my back suddenly we hear a growl behind us

'Get your hands off my mate!' Daniel growls

'Don't you dare! After everything you and your posey put me through or have you forgotten - pushing me around or pulling chucks of my hair calling me names taking my toys and food, or leaving me in the forest for 5 hours alone and scared to the point I had to mind link my mum and dad to come rescue me! ' I take a breath before I continue my ranting

' And then the final straw spilling candle wax on my arms causing me to cry out and all you three did was call me a cry baby! And what makes it worse you always seemed to get away with it.... I am Not your mate do you understand me! '

I walk off with angry tears in my eyes.

Duncan POV

I run after her wow baby girl had it tough I always knew Daniel and posey were a bunch of jerks but never that bad, however since finding their mates Tyler and Elliot seem to have calmed down and Daniel just wants to find his mate

I find her behind a tree outside crying angrily I sit down and join her

' So what are you going to do?'

'I don't know Duncan I've been through so much these past few months and now this?' I cry

'Hey you know what let's get to class then after school you and me will go to this great dinner I know my treat'

'Thanks Duncan but you barely know me and.....'

'Don' t sweat it you look like you need a friend and that's what I am'.

Savannah POV

I can't deny Duncan anything and he's right I do need a friend

'Okay Duncan I would love to go to the dinner with you'.

'Sweet'.

Before I know it its the end of the day, me and Duncan head to the dinner I don't see Daniel or his posey I breath a sigh of relief.

We sit down in the dinner - it's so cute the decor is something that can only be described as 1950's it's so retro I love it I'm just about to order when he and his posey with their mates walk in I groan inwardly

'Baby girl just ignore them' Duncan assures me'.

After we order our food we start talking I tell him everything - I don't know why but I feel I can trust him

'So now you can see why I'm hostile to him and I can't reject him as that could leave me open to Alpha David! So I just don't know what to do' I groan

'I see your predicament, I' d hate to be in your shoes, however yes I know they have been jerks to me in the past but ever since Chloe and Amanda came on the scene they have changed and Daniel especially he just wants his mate'

'May I join you?' I look up to see Daniel.

Daniel POV

Wow I know I was mean to her but I don't remember being that mean - Ajax takes pleasure in reminding me by showing me flash backs. My heart aches

'Serves you right jackass now you feel the pain you inflicted on her' Ajax growls

'Guys we have some serious grovelling to do for our future Luna' I command

'Hhmph I say you do you guys are dumb asses' Amanda remarks

'You' re not helping Amanda, hey you guys let's go to the dinner'. I suggest I have a feeling to be there

As we enter the dinner I see Savannah and Duncan I try and get a table as close as we can but with out being obvious that we are spying on her, I ask Chloe to sit so she can see Savannah lips- Chloe has a talent for lip reading and can tell what people are saying

'Well Chloe what is she saying?' I ask impatiently

'Oh my Savannah saw her father be killed by a rouge and is having nightmares she also said that another Alpha David asked her to be his mate but it's complicated....'

'What?!' Elliot sits me down

'Sit down and listen - it's not his wolf it' s David himself - he didn't take kindly to bring rejected he grabbed her the wrist' Chloe adds

My wolf Ajax wants to rip David apart but like Chloe said because its the human side that wants Savannah it's not as easy to challenge.

I calmly walk over to where Duncan and Savannah sit - I have to play this cool

'No sh*t Sherlock' Ajax growls

'OK I know I messed up as kids Ajax but if I have to I will spend the rest if my days grovelling'.

'May I join you?' I ask hopefully

Savannah POV

As we are finishing our meal I look up to see a hopeful Daniel I look at Duncan

'Please Savannah just give a mate a chance his wolf Ajax loves us and I know Daniel is sorry' Gemma pleads

Duncan coughs and brings me back from my thoughts

'Look I think you guys have a lot to talk about I need to get back to Winston if you need me baby girl here's my number'

I feel nervous as Duncan gets up to leave before Daniel sits down Duncan grabs him by the arm and whispers something Daniel nods and mouths

'I promise'.
