I couldn't believe how natural it felt to be with Dallas, how easy it was to talk to him and laugh with him. As I changed into comfortable clothes and made myself a cup of tea, my mind kept wandering back to Dallas. What was he doing right now? Was he thinking about me too? I pulled out my phone and checked the lock screen, feeling a flutter in my chest. No messages yet, but I knew he'd call me tomorrow like he promised. I settled onto the couch, cradling my cup of tea in my hands, and let out a happy sigh. I felt like I'd found something special with Dallas, something that could potentially change my life in ways I couldn't even imagine. Alpha Dallas's Pov: As I drove away from Iris's place, I couldn't shake off the feeling of excitement and happiness. I'd never felt this way about anyone before, and I knew that I'd found something special with Iris. I pulled out my phone and sent a quick text to my best friend, Alex. "Dude, I think I found her," I typed, a huge grin spreading across my face. I knew Alex would understand what I meant. As a werewolf, I knew that finding my mate was a big deal, and Alex had always been supportive of my search. I drove home, my mind replaying the moments I'd shared with Iris. I couldn't wait to see her again, to explore this new connection and see where it would take us. As I pulled into my driveway, I saw Alex's truck parked outside. I smiled, knowing that he'd be eager to hear about my date. I got out of the truck and walked into the house, Alex looking up from the couch where he was sitting. "Hey, man," he said, a knowing glint in his eye. "How was the date?" I grinned, feeling like a fool. "It was amazing," I said, dropping onto the couch beside him. "I think I found my mate." Alex's eyes widened in surprise, and then he let out a whoop of excitement. "That's awesome, dude!" he exclaimed, clapping me on the back. "Tell me everything." The connection I'd felt with Dallas was unlike anything I'd ever experienced before, and I couldn't wait to see where things would go between us. The next morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and energized. I checked my phone, hoping to see a message from Dallas, and smiled when I saw that he'd sent me a good morning text. "Good morning, beautiful," he'd written. "Hope you're having a great day so far." I felt a flutter in my chest as I read the message, my heart skipping a beat. I quickly typed out a response, trying to play it cool. "Good morning," I wrote. "I'm doing great, thanks. How about you?" As I went about my day, I found myself checking my phone obsessively, hoping to hear from Dallas again. And when my phone finally buzzed with an incoming call, I felt a rush of excitement. "Hey," Dallas said, his voice low and smooth. "I was thinking, would you like to grab dinner with me tonight? Maybe we could try out that new restaurant downtown." My heart skipped a beat as I considered the invitation. I couldn't wait to see him again, to explore this new connection and see where it would take us. "I'd love to," I said, trying to sound casual. Dallas chuckled, and I could almost hear the smile in his voice. "Great," he said. "I'll pick you up at 7?" Alpha Dallas's Pov: As I hung up the phone, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. I'd been looking forward to seeing Iris all day, and now I got to spend the evening with her too. I spent the rest of the day getting ready for our date, making sure my truck was clean and my clothes were ironed. I even took a few extra minutes to trim my beard and splash on some cologne, wanting to make a good impression. As I pulled up to Iris's place at 7, I felt a sense of nervous energy. What if this didn't work out? What if we didn't click in the light of day? But as soon as I saw Iris walking out of her apartment, all my doubts disappeared. She looked stunning in a red dress, her hair styled perfectly and her smile lighting up the night. "Hey," I said, getting out of the truck to open the door for her. "You look amazing." Iris blushed, her eyes sparkling with delight. "Thanks," she said, sliding into the passenger seat. "You don't look so bad yourself." I grinned, feeling a sense of pride and pleasure. This was going to be a great night. Chapter 6 Iris's Pov: As I slid into the passenger seat, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. The dinner date was already off to a great start, with Dallas looking handsome and charming in his dark jeans and button-down shirt. As we drove to the restaurant, we chatted easily about our day, laughing and joking like we'd known each other for years. I felt a sense of comfort and ease with Dallas that I'd never experienced before, and I knew that I was really starting to like him. When we arrived at the restaurant, Dallas opened the door for me and took my hand, leading me inside. The restaurant was cozy and intimate, with dim lighting and soft music playing in the background. As we were seated at our table, Dallas smiled at me across the menu. "I'm so glad we're doing this," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners. I smiled back, feeling a sense of happiness. "Me too," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. As we ordered our food and began to eat, the conversation flowed easily, covering everything from our favorite books and movies to our childhood memories and family traditions. I felt like I was getting to know Dallas on a deeper level, and I was fascinated by the person I was discovering. As the night wore on, I knew that I was falling for Dallas, hard. And I couldn't help but wonder if he felt the same way about me.
