THE FEELING RETURNS

843 Words
The bell rang at the usual, today was unnecessarily long because we had a physics test. I hate physics, I don't seem to be able to understand any of it. I was a straight A student but physics was my weakness. I was so glad the day was over, I left the school building and found my friends outside. "What do you think we should do today?" Ava asked. "I want to go to sleep", I said tiredly. Physics had that effect on me. "Why? It's still early", Chelsea asked worried. "We had physics test. You know how miss perfect here is after physics test.", Coast said. We had physics class together. "You should go home and...", Bryan's voice trailed off in my mind as I felt the same feeling as in the bar. I had goosebumps, I knew the same person who was staring at me at the bar was around here somewhere. I looked around and saw an unfamiliar car, it was a black Tesla. I won't brag about knowing everyone in my school but I knew that no one gets picked up with a Tesla so who was it here for. I tried to see who was in the car but I was too far. I could feel the same intense gaze and I needed to know who was in that car. I decided to go see but at my second step, Ava stopped me. "Where are you going?", Ava asked. "I want to know who is in that car", I couldn't tell her I felt someone staring at me like when I was at the bar, she has already told me it was nothing. "Why?", Ava asked. "I just wanted to know" "That's a good looking car but also the person could be a criminal looking for their next victim. Some serial killer type shit." Chelsea stated. She loved thrillers and crime documentaries. If ever I wished to get away with murder, I would involve Chelsea, because of her vast knowledge of crimes, criminal mindsets and long hours of watching how to get away with murder. As I looked back at the car, I figured she could be right besides I've never seen that car here before so whoever is in it could be looking for someone to harm. Just then my mum arrived, I got in and we went home. I wanted to tell my mum but I didn't want her to worry, she had the tendency of getting worked up over nothing especially when this nothing was concerning me. I shook off the feeling and I had some salad and went to bed. I didn't have that much of an appetite but I was still sleepy. Sure enough I woke up late for school in the morning. I don't know why but that rule that says, 'Early to bed, early to rise' doesn't work on me. No matter how early I go to bed, I always somehow manage to wake up late. I quickly grabbed a dress from my wardrobe and got dressed. I'm not sure I liked this dress, it's too casual for school but I'm already late, I don't have time to change. I quickly went downstairs and grabbed my lunch and breakfast bag. Yes because of my usual lateness, my mum invented a breakfast bag where she packs some breakfast foods for the days I can't eat before running off to school. Mum insisted on dropping me off, I didn't argue because I was still a little uneasy about the unknown black Tesla of yesterday so we quickly got in the car and left. I got to school just in time for the first bell to ring, I got out of the car and waved goodbye to my mum, as I turned, I saw the same black Tesla from yesterday, parked in the same spot. It seems someone was inside and I felt the stare of whoever was in it. The goosebumps appeared again, I really wanted to know who was in the car and why they were watching the school, I tried to see who was in it but then the bell rang. I had to go to my first class of the day. I left my investigation for later. I walked into school and met my friends, we all had first period together. I told them the black Tesla from yesterday was still there. "Could it have stayed overnight?", Coast asked. "Maybe but why?" Chelsea was bringing her inner detective out. She was getting a little too excited about this event. "we should go check it out", Ava finally said what I've been saying for hours now. "Finally, someone's listening to me", I said. "Okay but if we're going to do this, we have to go together. No random walking off and we'll keep a reasonable distance between ourselves and the car", Bryan said looking so serious we couldn't stop ourselves from laughing. Deep inside, I was kind of excited about going up to the mysterious Tesla. Why was I excited about this?
