Chapter 3: The Temple Beyond Time
The sky split open with a deafening roar.
Dark clouds swirled above the Chronos Realm, and lightning struck the floating islands around Aditya.
"The Shadow Keeper is here!" the Guardian of Time shouted.
Without wasting a second, he waved his crystal staff. A shimmering shield of blue light surrounded them.
From the darkness emerged hundreds of shadow creatures with glowing red eyes. They flew across the sky like a living storm.
"Run!" the Guardian ordered.
Aditya sprinted across the floating stone bridge toward the ancient temple. The silver pocket watch around his neck glowed brighter with every step.
As he reached the temple gates, they opened by themselves.
Inside, everything was silent.
Huge pillars carved with ancient symbols reached the ceiling. In the center of the hall stood a massive crystal shaped like an hourglass. It floated in the air, surrounded by golden rings that slowly rotated.
"What is this place?" Aditya asked.
"The Temple Beyond Time," the Guardian replied. "It protects the balance of every timeline."
Suddenly, the crystal began to shine.
A beam of golden light surrounded Aditya.
Ancient voices echoed through the temple.
"The Keeper of Time has arrived."
The pocket watch flew from Aditya's hand and floated above the crystal.
One by one, glowing symbols appeared on its surface.
The Guardian smiled.
"The watch has accepted you."
Before Aditya could speak, the ground shook violently.
A blast of black energy shattered the temple doors.
A tall figure stepped through the smoke.
His face was hidden beneath a long black hood, and his glowing red eyes burned like fire.
"The Shadow Keeper..." the Guardian whispered.
The villain laughed.
"So... after centuries, the new Time Keeper has finally appeared."
He pointed his hand toward Aditya.
"Give me the Watch... and I may let your world survive."
Aditya clenched his fists.
"I'll never give it to you."
The Shadow Keeper smiled coldly.
"Then your adventure ends today."
Dark energy exploded across the temple as the first battle for time itself began.
