Chapter 4: The First Battle of Time
A wave of dark energy rushed across the temple.
Aditya barely jumped aside as the blast shattered one of the ancient stone pillars.
"Stay behind me!" the Guardian of Time shouted.
He struck the floor with his crystal staff, creating a glowing shield that blocked the Shadow Keeper's attack.
The Shadow Keeper laughed.
"You still believe you can stop me? Your power grows weaker with every century."
The Guardian looked at Aditya.
"This is your moment. The Watch has chosen you. Trust it."
Aditya held the silver pocket watch tightly.
Suddenly, its hands began spinning rapidly.
A brilliant blue light surrounded him.
Ancient symbols appeared in the air, forming glowing circles beneath his feet.
The Watch whispered in a strange language...
Then Aditya understood.
He raised the Watch toward the Shadow Keeper.
"Time Lock!"
A beam of blue energy shot across the temple.
The Shadow Keeper froze for a few seconds, trapped inside a crystal sphere of time.
"It worked!" Aditya exclaimed.
But the victory lasted only moments.
Crack...
Crack...
The crystal prison shattered.
The Shadow Keeper stepped out with an angry smile.
"Impressive... but not enough."
He stretched out his hand, and a giant shadow dragon emerged from the darkness.
Its glowing red eyes locked onto Aditya.
The dragon roared so loudly that the temple walls began to collapse.
"Run!" the Guardian yelled.
Aditya raced through the temple corridors while the shadow dragon chased him, smashing everything in its path.
At the end of the corridor, Aditya found a massive stone door covered in ancient symbols.
The Watch suddenly glowed.
One by one, the symbols lit up.
The door slowly opened.
Beyond it lay a hidden chamber filled with hundreds of magical watches floating in the air.
In the center stood a golden pedestal.
Resting on it was a glowing crystal key.
The Guardian's voice echoed from behind:
"Aditya... that's the Key of Eternity. If the Shadow Keeper gets it first... time itself will be destroyed."
Aditya reached toward the crystal key...
Just as the Shadow Keeper appeared behind him.
