“Yeah,” Zack said noncommittally.
He did not, in fact, know how it was. After graduating college, Zack had declined Phil’s offer of an internship in his own company and thrown himself into gaming. He understood on an intellectual level that people had jobs and needed to earn money, but the day to day reality of it was hard to grasp.
Although now that he was trapped in DaEvo, he was rapidly developing sympathy for his teammates and their work schedules.
“Won’t have to worry about jobs once we go pro,” Faz said cheerfully.
“You don’t have to worry about it now,” Zack said.
“I don’t have to worry about it for another ten months,” Faz corrected. “Then my gap year is officially over, and I will fulfill my destiny of becoming a doctor.”
He said that without his usual cheerful enthusiasm, a
