“You guys ready for this?” Zack called.
“Born ready,” Jenny said.
They were in formation and waiting just out of range of the outpost’s sensors. Zack had made it to the raid with two minutes to spare and was taking advantage of the extra time to brief his team.
“I’ve set up five different laser cannon configurations to test with Jenny’s new EMP dampener. We’ll also keep an eye out for the unusual drones or anything else out of the ordinary.” Zack had splurged and hired a mechanic drone so that he could pull out and swap out configurations in the middle of the battlefield without flying all the way back to base. It was expensive, but they didn’t have time for him to fluff around flying back and forth.
“Yeah, if the Armada found an Easter egg, there’s no telling what was in there,” Greg
