Chapter Nine Zack awoke to the sound of his OptiGlasses ringing. He squirmed a little on his Egyptian cotton sheets, one of the few luxuries he’d brought into the apartment—other than his gaming console. Good sheets and a good bed made such a difference. The ringing came again, and Zack groaned. At least it wasn’t the overly cheerful DaEvo tune, thank goodness. Just a normal ringtone from his video calling app. He fumbled with the glasses, stabbing himself in the eye before he managed to put them on. Phil’s face filled Zack’s field of vision.
