HER DEAREST FRIEND

Mercy became worried when she called Kelly's phone countless times without being responded to. And that maybe something bad had happened to her dearest friend. She then decided to dial it again.

Finally the call was picked by just 3 rings.

"Hello, Kelly are you alright? Where are you now? Are you by your self? Did anyone do anything to hurt you? Why didn't you answer your call since i was calling? You really got me scared". Mercy immidiately rattled her question like a mother who just spoke to her child after a long while. But to her surprise, it wasn't Kelly that responded.

Instantly, Mercy became more scare and concluded that something bad had happened to her friend. If not, a random guy won't just pick up Kelly's call just like that. Her brain knocked as all this thought goes through her head. Hearing a man's voice just broke her heart and her heart skipped. "Oh! Oh!she started breathing fast placing her left arm on her chest. "Oh! I - shouldn't- have - left - her". She cried out.

"She is with me" the man spoke. His voice was pleasant to the ears as usual.

He just said she is with him, who the hell was this guy? She asked inwardly forgetting that Kelvin had told her earlier that Alex was with her. She became high in adrenalin.

He better not have hurt my Kelly if not... she said inwardly again.

"Hey dude, where is Kelly, i want to speak to her and why are you picking her call? Let me talk to her right now! She ordered.

"You better not have done anything stupid to her, if not, i will rip your neck right out of it socket and leave it for the vultures to feed on!. Metcy ranted like an angry mother and she just couldn't help it.

She yelled very loud on the phone that Alex had to distance the phone from his ear so as to avoid ear blocking. When he noticed that the yelling had stopped, he held the phone back, close to his ears and calmly spoke.

"This is Alexander, you can try but am sure you won't succeed" he rebutted against her comment on ripping his head from it socket, as confident and arrogant as usual. "where are you? I am bringing her over to you". He said.

Before Mercy could answer, Kelvin snatched the phone from her. " Alex am going to take Miss Mercy to the hospital, she hurt her self. It's pretty bad... i think she broke her angle. She said she is happy to leave her friend with you" he said as he looked at Mercy whose eyes were already on him immediately she heard him say those words.

" what the hell...OUCH she mourned in pain as she tried moving.

"She is nearly dying from the pain now Alex... we are leaving now. Bye.

Kelvin then slipped his phone on his pocket without another word, he made sure Mercy was well seated on the bike with her cute little buttoms. He grapped Mercy's hands and wrapped them around his waist before he finally accelerated away.

He drove with much speed that the hooligan of a girl was scared to her bones. Her grip of him became tight and she just could immagin the kind of injury she would sustain if she should slip off the bike.

"Hey dude! Are you going to take me to the hospital or you might as well take me to my early grave if you should continue in this speed you prince!!" Mercy started yelling and it seems it worked on him.

He then finally slowed down but this time, he was so slow that Mercy could see a turtle over taking them.

"Oh! This man is just troublesome, who in his right senses will do this?

"Hey what are you doing? A damn turtle is over taking you, look!. She complained as she pointed at an imaginary turtle that she felt was over taking them in the other lane.

"I am not ready for this, i can go to the hospital faster than this".

The man finally spoke as he shook his head.

"If that is what you want, i can stop and then let you go so you can hooble your way to the hospital from here". His voice taunted her.

Mercy then finally realized as she looked around and that it was dark and there was no one else around them because it was very late at night.

She was quick to take back her words. "No!" She said. She needed to control her anger because she knew that she needed this dude by her side. Sge restrained her self with allot of effort, or she might end up being abandoned here all alone by her self. Only God knows what this prince might be thinking.

" how about i drive?" She tried a different tactics.

"With your injury? Ok. Sure, go right ahead. His voice was full of mockery.

" i can handle it" she said and insisted as the man just chuckled.

He signed and accelerated finally.

This time, his speed wasn't heart killing, it was just so cool. Thank goodness!.

This man was definitely just trying her patience.

In the bar, Alex kept Kelly's phone back inside her bag and carried the bag together with the girl inside his car. No one paid them attension as they left, as if this happened always at the club and the clubers were already use to it.

He laid her on the back seat where he kept her bag and he place his jacket under her head so she could have a good rest. He then check if she was breathing, her breath was steady and fast, it seems she already fell asleep and he was sure it because of those drinks she took. That bastard should be grateful that he only touched her shoulders.

He glanced at the sleeping little lamb for a while before he finally started the engine and drove away.
