THE BIRTHDAY

VAMPIRE 5: no sir , they have not left yet, i saw one of them going towards the toilet area, while the other 3 are still seated in the same spot.

“OK, make sure your eyes are on them and do not tell anyone about this because right now, you can’t trust anyone anymore”.

VAMPIRE 5: yes master my eyes are always on them and besides, i have not told any one yet not even the manager.

“OK then, very good. Like i said, i will be there soon just do the right thing. Do not let any one suspect you. Do you understand?

VAMPIRE 5: yes master. He ended the call and went inside to continue his job.

IN MERCY MOM’S CAR,

The car kept on moving while the two girl discussed.

MERCY:when you told grand ma and grand pa that you were going for a birthday party with me, what did they say?

KELLY:nothing much, my grandpa only asked me if i was sure i want to go.

MERCY: how exactly did you say it? Because am sure that they would be very surprise to hear you say you were going for a party because since i knew you, you have always been an introvert. But anyway, i was the one who forced you because i know if you were to be invited alone, i know you will not go.

KELLY:my grand parents were not that surprised because they know i am no longer a child and i am a grown up. Little time from now, i will graduate.

MERCY: yeah that’s true and very soon the school stress will be over.

'Even if i graduate, what need would it be when my time is short here and besides what will i d….

MERCY: Keee-lly, why are you quite, what are you thinking?

KELLY: thinking? I am not thinking anything, i am just imagining how my first birthday party attendance will look like that’s all.

MERCY: OK then there is no problem, would you care to eat anything before we arrive at the birthday party?

KELLY: i just need meat pie and maybe lacasera.

MERCY: if you say so, there is no problem let me park in front of this shop over here so i can get you want you want.

Mercy immediately parked the car at the side of the road, stepped down to go buy the things and asked Kelly to stay inside the car and wait for her. Few minutes later, the girl came back, entered the car and drove as they continued their journey.

IN THE BAR OF BOVWAH,

As Different people come in to buy drinks and chill themselves, the vampires were busy looking for a pre.

Few hours later, Kelly and mercy arrived inside the compound of Bovwah, it took them an hour before reaching to their destination because the place was located in a small village and in that village, Bovwah was the biggest bar around that is why who ever that comes inside the bar to get some drink is been considered rich not to talk of celebrating a birthday. Mercy and Kelly were seen as city children even the celebrant also see them as one. The celebrant never had the opportunity to live in the city, she knows what the city really looked like because she has been to the city once when she came to visit her aunt but have not gotten the opportunity to be a city girl.

The car drove in, and the security directed them on where to park which they did.

MERCY: hey come down, we are here. She said it as she came down viewing everywhere. We are not even late, seems like they are about to start. Oh my God,!! Kelly look over there, see how beautiful the cake is.

She said as Kelly immediately turned to the direction where she was pointing and looking at.

MERCY:You can come down miss super hero, let’s walk in side to fill our eyes before the occasion would finally begin.

After she finished her statement, Kelly immediately came out of the car and joined her friend in walking towards the entrance door.

INSIDE BOVWAH,

KELLY: wow here is actually beautiful, come let’s seat over there while we take some soft drink.

MERCY:seems you like it here?

KELLY:yes, i really do. I am finally out of my shell doing what i have never done before and this might be my first and last.

MERCY:what do you mean by last? Don’t worry, i will bring you here when ever you want to come okay?

'That is if i am still alive'

MERCY:he-loo, why are you always forgetting your self?

KELLY”(she smiled and looked at Mercy), i am just happy, lucky and grateful to have you as my friend. Ever since my parents left, my grandparents and you have always been there for me, i am so grateful, thank you so much. The two girls continued walking to a place where they could seat and at least view the area.

MERCY:Awwwwn, oooh you are welcome my super woman. She laughed as she said those words.

KELLY: hey! look over there, she pointed. That place will give us a good view. The two girls agreed as they walked to seat down but before they got there, they came across the celebrant.

MATILDA: Mercy i am so happy to see you, thank you very much for honoring my invitation.

MERCY: you are welcome dear. Here is my friend Kelly. She introduced Kelly to Matilda and they both exchanged pleasantries as the celebrant departed.

KELLY: i feel like taking something, i want to go and order something for us to take. The place is right in-front of us, let me go and don’t be scared that i will get missing because i wont. Just wait i will be right back.

She immediately left to go get something for them to take while mercy sat down waiting for her.

When Kelly got there, she was asked to stand on a queue because some people had come before her.

ON THE QUEUE,

KELLY: Please you just stepped on me and besides you are just coming, you are supposed to stay behind me not in-front of me please move back.

“who are you to tell me where to stay and what to do?"

Before Kelly knew what was going on, she saw 2 men standing right before her back. She looked at Mercy’s direction to be sure that her mercy was save before she turned back to continue where she stopped.

" i said who do you think you are”?

The man asked again. Kelly kept quite, trying to focus on what she came for.

While mercy was still waiting for Kelly, someone kept her company. “Hi beautiful girl, how are you doing? My name is Isaac and yours?

Mercy thought of answering him, trying to be polite with him so that she won’t be seen as an arrogant girl.

MERCY: OK, my name is mercy, you are handsome too.

ISAAC:(he smiled). Thanks. So tell me, why are you seating alone?

MERCY: I actually came with a friend, she went to get something for us to take so i am waiting for her.

Meanwhile the gentle man have been noticing the two girls right from the moment they entered and knew that Kelly looks agile while mercy was just like a girl she was. They continued talking while Kelly struggled to accomplish her mission.

KELLY: look, i did not come here to create a scene. please just respect your self.

The girl does not want to fight him because Mercy would be embarrassed, coming to a place for the first time only to fight? So embarrassing. Before she could say another word, the man pushed her out of the queue.

KELLY: why did you push me?.

the man didn’t respond. He actually provoked her so that she could get mad at him and so he could leur her out of the building where no one could see anything.

KELLY: if you are a man enough, come outside.

“Wow nice move” he said within him self.

Immediately she left the line, the 2 men standing at her back moved close taking her position.

AT THE BACK SIDE OF THE BUILDING,

“You made a very big mistake by coming out here little girl. This is your e….. he received a very hurt blow before he could finish the word “end”.

" i cant stand any more, my legs are weak”. he said in pain.

KELLY: it is not every woman you see, you underestimate. She walked away living him in pain still on the floor. As she was going back inside the bar, what she saw her eyes could not believe.
