A red pickup truck revs its engine, its tires screech to accommodate a tight turn. It jerks violently as it hits a speed bump.
Two boys pedal their bikes for all their worth. The many speed bumps around city park were the only obstacle keeping the truck from catching up to the boys.
The night started off relatively normal; Garrett and Jeremy were hanging out in Jeremy’s garage, bored, as boys that age usually are. Jeremy had an idea!
“You wanna hang out at the city park?” He asked Garrett.
“It’s already getting kind of dark, my mom’s going to want me home soon,” Garrett said while he was looking out of the open garage.
“Tell your mom you’re staying at my house,” Jeremy said.
“And what about your mom?” Garrett questioned?
