“There once was a little Raven who was flying over the desert and saw a Ute woman collecting water. He would fly near the river every day just to admire her! He wished so much to be able to talk to her, but alas! He was merely a little raven.
His love and admiration was too much to go unnoticed! He was roosting on a
Ponderosa when a desert spirit appeared to him and offered him a chance at love.
Next thing he knew; he was a handsome Ute man! He used his new legs to run to the village, promptly introducing himself to the maiden. Their love was instantaneous!
The two married and were expecting their first child. They were very excited as the time drew near for their baby to be born! When the day came, the raven had some explaining to do, as the child was born half human half raven!
