She looked at me like I was crazy. Maybe I was. But I couldn’t help it. The moment I saw those shadows—those subtle, calculated glances from people who didn’t belong inside my building—I knew something had shifted. Maurice wasn’t safe anymore. That’s an order.” “Ano bang pinagsasasabi mo?” Tumayo siya sa harap ko, chest rising and falling, her arms crossed. “You’re not my—” “Don’t say it,” I warned, stepping closer. “Don’t say I’m not anything to you.”
