It was bitter work, cruel and demanding at every turn. Every day felt brutal, and I would sometimes wonder if it was even worth it in the end. By the third day, I was fully exhausted and all I really wanted was for it to end. I craved that final minute when Sabrina would finally sit back down and say, “Well, I believe we’ve done enough for the day. You can go up to your room and have some rest now.”
