Chapter 81

1882 Words

* Blood splattered in front of me, smoking and rancid. It was an oozing black, and it nearly burned me as it shot towards my arm. I managed to dive out of the way just in time, and before the claws could strike me I sidestepped the ugly creature. The mud made things infinitely more difficult, but I had to find a way to stay alive. "You know what? f**k this!" Damian growled, and the next thing I knew he'd shifted and attacked the closest charymas. His teeth sank into the creature's shoulder, and a cry of agony broke through the forest. It came from all the creatures, as though they shared the same pain and it resonated across all of them. But that couldn't be possible since they were all separate creatures. And then I noticed that the one in front of me was larger than the others.
