Revenge for My Friend

One month went soon. Ameya visited all her relatives and friends. Attended a few family functions. She was packing her bags day before her journey to Mumbai, when Anita and her mom came. Susan had brought Ameya’s favourite spicy meat and fish pickle. Ameya thanked Susan and kept it in her bag. When she came down Samuel and Ranjith was discussing something they saw in the news. She came and sat near Ranjith. 

“Amy, are you all set for tomorrow’s journey. Vivek will be picking you up from Airport.”

You will be staying with Meera till the renovation work of your flat completes. When I called they told the flat will be ready within two days. Till then Vivek will take to your office.” Ranjith said. Meera is Radhika’s elder sister Vivek is Meera’s son. They own a villa in Juhu, which is sea facing.

“ OK Pa, love you. Sam uncle will you all stay here tonight. It’s been a long time since we spend time like this together. Let’s have fun tonight.” Samuel agreed to stay there.  After chatting for about an hour Radhika and Susan went to the kitchen to serve dinner. Anita and Ameya helped in setting plates and dishes on the dining table. Both families had dinner. After dinner they played some games till 11p. m. Then they went to sleep. Anita was staying in Ameya’s room. They lay down and chatted till they felt sleepy.

Next day they went to the Airport. After security check in Ameya was waiting in the lobby it was then she saw Merlyn among some VIP going to the private jet section. There was tight security so she couldn’t meet her. Ameya asked at the inquiry who was the VIP and came to know it was some Ministers from central government. She didn’t understand why Merlyn was here that too with central minister and didn’t contact anyone. She took the flight and reached Mumbai by noon. Her cousin Vivek was there. They went to her aunt’s home. After freshening up and having lunch, she slept till 4 o’clock. Meera gave her tea and snacks which she had at the balcony viewing the beauty of the Arabian Sea. She loves beaches and whenever she gets time she goes there and have lots of fun. Next day she went shopping in a nearby mall with Vidya who was her cousin sister. They purchased some dress and shoes. They had pizza for brunch and watched a movie. After that they went to beach had vada pav (street food in Mumbai) and watched the sunset. When they were back Raju Uncle said she can go to her flat tomorrow and gave her the keys.

Ameya called her parents and talked to them. “Amy when will you join. Are you shifting tomorrow to your new home.” Ranjith asked.

“Pa will join day after tomorrow. Vidya and Vivek will help me in shifting. How is Ma?.”

She talked with Radhika. After dinner Ameya and Vidya went upstairs and watched night beauty of the beach from the balcony. It was little crowded with couples, lovebirds, kids, bachelors who were enjoying.

Ameya’s new flat was near her office. It was a 2 bedroom flat with a home theatre and gym. It was a hectic day because Ameya had to take all her belongings from here to her new flat. The flat was designed by Anita. She did the interior design according to Ameya’s taste. A spacious living space which had a tv console and a mantel with a lamp and idol of lord Ganesh. At the corner of living space she converted it into study by placing a bookshelf and a study table. A kitchen counter to separate kitchen from living room. It was a modular kitchen with a cooking range, built in chimney hood, a refrigerator, microwave oven, electric kettle and cabinets. The gym had basic equipments for work out. One bedroom was designed as a guest bedroom. Her personal bedroom  had a king size bed with nightstand and night lamp on it. There was a wardrobe with a dresser with mirror. In the bathroom it was partitioned into a wet and dry area, where there was a shower cubicle to take a bath and mirror cabinet to keep her toothbrush, paste and other basic items. She had to purchase things for her new home. All was set by evening. Raju and Meera came to see her and her new home. They gave her a gift box and said it was a surprise gift. When she opened it there was a car key in it. “We know you love to drive and your craze for German made cars, so it’s a gift from us.” Ya they gifted her an Audi RS5.

“Thanks uncle, I love the car. Let’s go out for dinner and celebrate. Its a treat from my side for the new home and car.” They went to a famous Chinese restaurant. While they ordered and waiting for food Ameya saw a group of guys entering the restaurant. One guy was watching them. She had a strange sensation of seeing the guy. That moment food arrived and they all enjoyed the dinner. Ameya went to her home while Meera and her family went to their home.  Ameya entered her room switched on the music system and heard her favourite songs. Later she took out her dress for tomorrow and checked everything she had to take for office.

Ameya was up by 6 o’clock. After her morning routine she spends some time in her gym. She took a bath and prepared breakfast. She packed her bag and lunch. While having breakfast she hired an Uber to her office. She didn’t drive because she was new there and don’t have any knowledge of the traffic there. She arrived there on time and met her CEO Mike. He introduced her to her colleagues and showed her cabin. 

She arranged her cabin and her desk. She placed a small idol of Lord Ganesh and the picture frame of her family. She told her P.A. to call the tea boy. When he came Ameya told him to bring her tea with sandwich at 10.30 and any fresh juice at 11.45 daily.
