The shadows in the room thickened, folding over themselves like dark waves. My wolf growled low, every muscle in my body coiled, senses flaring. Dastien moved beside me, golden aura blazing brighter than ever, his gaze slicing through the darkness as if he could see every hidden threat. But even his confidence couldn’t fully mask the tension in the room. The traitor was bleeding, but not out of the fight.
