Alice
The warmth that consumed my body brought a smile to my face as I snuggled more into Sigurd. At the back of my mind say that girl that I saw him with just yesterday. I knew he wouldn’t do anything but it was her I was worried about.
I felt his arms tighten around me. I looked up at him and he made a bit of a noise. I quietly asked “Sigurd?” He opened his eyes just a bit and looked at me still sleepy. “Yes beautiful?” I sat up a bit as his arm gave way to let me. I looked down at him “Are you okay?” He smiled and pulled me closer to him. His muscles flexed against my sides as his hands moved up my back. He sat up pressing my body closer to his. His face moved to the crease of my neck. His beard gently brushed against my skin as a soft gasp escaped my lips.
My fingers slid into his hair as he planted kisses all along my neck. “S..sigurd” I moaned softly. He seemed pleased with my response as his thumb softly brushed against my lower lip. His other hand firmly holding me against him. My cheeks were bright red, the heat that rose up my stomach as he held me. I have never been held the way Sigurd is holding me now. His hand gently held me around my neck with one hand has he kissed me deeply.
We were passionately locked into each other’s arms when a knock came at the door. Sigurd growled in anger against my lips. “What could be so important you must interrupt us?” The voice on the other end was strong and steady as it didn’t waver at the tone. “Jarl Sigurd. We have a issue going on in town.” Sigurd didn’t seemed pleased with his words. “Come in.” With that the man walked into the room to see me straddling Sigurd completely naked.
Sigurd had me pressed against him to were the man couldn’t see anything from me. “What’s going on Asger?” The man who’s name is as Asger, wasn’t looking at me out of respect of myself but also his Jarl, but passed me to Sigurd. “A women is causing a scene in town.” Sigurd groaned. “Of course there is. Grab her and meet us in the great hall.” He was quiet for a moment then spoke up. “Have everyone show to the great hall.” He looked at me. “We have an announcement to make.”
Sigurd
I had a feeling on who the women was that was causing me problems. Especially after I just won the heart of Alice. The women who won part of my heart just by her beauty then won all of it by her personality. All of it just seemed to convenient.
Alice and I sat in the great hall as everyone came walking in. I held her hand as I knew all of this was new to her. Asger stood near by with the women being held so she could state her case after my announcement.
Once everyone was in the great hall, I stood up smiling. “Everyone, I know many have heard rumors and I am here to clear them. As your Jarl, I would like to announce I have found my future bride. Alice, the beauty sitting just behind me will be my wife.”
I couldn’t say I wasn’t surprised by the murmurs that erupted within the crowd. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the women’s reaction. She is wasn’t pleased but she made the look vanish from her face within seconds of it being there. “I understand that everyone is shocked by this news, but this is my decision and I see it as the best option.” I could see Alice fidget a bit, she seemed a bit uncomfortable.
Once everyone settled down, I cleared my throat. “Our next order of business is about the women making a fool of herself in my village.” I looked over to Asger as he brought her forward. “State your name.” She looked up at me with pleading eyes. “My name is Astrid my Jarl.” I looked at her not pleased with how she is acting. “Astrid.” She flinched when I spoke her name. “Why did you see it for to cause a scene in the village?” I could see her thinking it over as I took my seat and then Alice’s hand. Astrid’s jaw tightened and I spoke up “So?” My tone sounded irritating.
She gulped “Well you see my Jarl. My mother” I could see she was going to tell me a lie. “She has fallen ill.” I narrowed my eyes at her. “So you caused a scene?” She quickly went on the defense. I could see her getting ready to defend her statement. “No Jarl! The news was just so sudden and shocking and I reacted.” She was stumbling a bit “I know my reaction made you our Jarl look bad and I apologize my Jarl.” I sighed “I understand news like this could be shocking, but please don’t cause a scene in the village.”
She nodded “I promise my Jarl, I won’t!” She broke from Asger’s grip and was on her knees in front of me as if she was trying to win my heart. She was ignoring Alice’s presence. I had a feeling she was lying, but I couldn’t be sure she was until I had proof.

I watched the girl named Astrid plead with Sigurd, on her knees, close to him. I didn’t like it. An anger rose in me. She was the same blonde bimbo that was trying to sleep with Sigurd just yesterday. Sigurd looked to Asger as he removed the girl. Sigurd then stood up and dismissed her, along with everyone else. He turned to me and held his hand out. I smiled as I took his hand, but I could feel an intense stare. I knew it was her.
Sigurd kisses my hand gently, then softly kissed the top of my head. “Spend some time with Rae, my love. Have her show you everything in the village. I’m going to talk to Asger about a few things.” He gently touched my face as I smiled. “I’ll learn as much as I can my love.” He smiled and seemed pleased with what I said. “I’ll come find you when I am done and we can continue with what we were doing this morning.” I blushed deeply as we parted ways.
I filled Rae has we walked through the town. She showed me everything from the docks with the fishermen, to the towns folk who run shops. They didn’t just sell and buy things but also traded goods with one another. Everything they did was for their families and it was absolutely beautiful. I was taken away by the way they lived. I even talked to a few of the villagers and I could see them seemed pleased with this. I asked them about their lively hood and how they enjoyed living in the village. Everyone seemed happy.
I smiled as I looked at Rae while we were walking “all of this is beautiful Rae. It’s like a massive beehive and everyone is helping everyone.” She smiled and laughed at what I said “you’re right in a way. It is like a beehive.”
She smiled more “As the future wife of my brother, the Jarl, you’ll need to know all of this.” I nodded, knowing she was right. I now have a duty to uphold. “I’ll do my best to know everything. I want to make the villagers happy to have me by their Jarl’s side.” She knew I meant it.
As we continued our walk, Rae stopped me dead in my tracks and quickly pulled me to the side. I looked at her confused, but she hushed me before I could even ask why. “Look” was all she whispered. I followed her finger to where she was pointing. Anger filled me when I saw the blonde bimbo Astrid. I knew she was trying to steal Sigurd. She’ll have to try harder if she really wants him.
We watched her and she seemed to be talking to an older women. We stayed quiet straining our ears to hear what they were saying to one another. She sounded like she was getting upset. “Mother.” She was trying to whisper but her anger wasn’t allowing her to do so. “I told you, you can’t come outside for now.” Her mother? Rae and I looked at each other. Her mother looks f*****g well to me. Her mother seemed angry with the lying bimbo. “Astrid, it’s not my fault you lied to our Jarl! He already picked his bride and you just have to get over it.” She hushed her mother as if to not get caught in her lie. Her mother’s words didn’t seem to want to stick with Astrid. She got angrier. “Mother, you just have to give me time. I have a plan. That b***h won’t see it coming.” She said that with such venom in her voice as she ushered her mother into their home.
Anger filled my body as Rae held me back from going after the lying bimbo. I looked to Rae as she looked at me. We both knew that my life could be in danger. We had to tell Sigurd and now. We quickly went to find him. This wasn’t going to be the end. I will break the lying bimbo for sure.
