I got myself off the floor as quickly as I could and took a firm stand against Abigail; there was no doubt that if I had any hope of getting out of that room alive, I had to face her, and of course, win. I looked around and saw that Victoria was lying on the floor; Abigail had probably attacked her from behind before getting to me, my ‘connection’ with the key making me oblivious to her the whole time. I ran to her and checked her pulse. “Thank God,” I muttered to myself when I felt a steady beat; she was only unconscious. Then, I turned back to face my newly resurrected nemesis Abigail. “So, are you gonna strike the first blow or shall I?” she asked. “Ladies first,” I replied with a smile I didn’t even know where it came from. Please God, don’t let it be that Trichloris is rubbing off
