I sat in my car, parked in the shadows across the street from Sera's location.
Through the window, I watched the lights inside. Watched for movement. Waiting for the right moment.
Damon had left. I had seen his car pull away, heading back toward the hospital like the lovesick fool he was. Now Sera was alone.
I reached into the backseat and began packing my supplies. Rope. A sack. Duct tape. Everything I needed to take her quietly.
