Sera's POV
Five days. It had been five days since I last saw Damon.
I sat on my bed, staring at my phone screen. No missed calls. No messages. Nothing.
I tried reaching out to him through our mind link again, but it was the same as before. A wall. Cold and impenetrable. He had blocked me out completely.
What did I do wrong?
I replayed our last conversation in my head for the hundredth time. Everything had seemed fine. He asked me to move in with him. I said I needed time to think. He said he understood. Then he kissed me goodbye and left.
Was that it? Was he upset that I didn't say yes immediately?
But he told me to take my time. He said he respected my decision. He didn't seem angry at all.
So why was he avoiding me now?
