The classroom remained silent. Most students were already packing up, eager to escape into the weekend.
Holly leaned over, whispering, "Want to grab coffee? There's this cute cafe near campus I've been wanting to try."
"Sounds perfect," I said, stuffing my notebook into my bag.
We'd become close over the past few weeks. Holly was quiet but thoughtful, always willing to help me understand the more complex concepts in class. And unlike most people, she never asked invasive questions about my past or why I'd transferred packs.
