Andra Erlina Milburn’s Point of View
A huge smile crept on my lips right after the old lady gave my order to me. I literally pick all the one I wanted to try out as well as the one drum of kimchi they have that is for sale. I honestly don’t eat kimchi, but when a classmate of mine who is fortunately Korean and shared it with me, I started to like it.
Why? Because it was her mother’s own recipe and was made by her. They own a certain brand of it and I was lucky when I found out that they use this and didn’t change to others since many people are telling them that the kimchi they offer taste sweet and really delicious.
We came back to his car, he has the foods in his hands as well as mine. He opened the door for me then suddenly, I came inside disregarding what just happened earlier.
“Are you coming with me?” I asked when he started his engine.
He looked at me. “Is it alright?”
At first, I thinked off. I started to hesitate. What if Andrius will wake up? What am I going to tell him? What am I going to say? Was it the reason of him being my boss, huh?
“Sure… but as much as possible, we’d keep ourselves quiet. Got it?”
He nodded then made his car move. “Yes, ma’am.”
I don’t know what to feel. Both of us were just quiet and I believe that he should be sleeping already right now as tomorrow would be tiring for him. Waking up everyday at seven in the morning wasn’t easy.
As soon as we landed at the hospital, Zacarias and I went to where the hospital room was. When we came inside, the oozing coldness of the aircondition is what greeted us. It is when I saw how Zacarias glanced to where my brother was then carefully went straight to where I was.
Zacarias was just standing in front. There’s a small bed beside him yet I chose to be down on the ground as it was the only place where I am comfortable. Seeing how things started to change with him and me, I pat the one beside me as a sign that he should sit down.
“Are you comfortable here? I can make a request to transfer him to a large room that has a special bed for their guardian,”
My eyebrows furrowed. I started to put oht all the things we bought at the market and good thing, it was still in a hot condition.
“We’re already fine here. Besides, he already got days left before we leave so we can manage,” I said.
“How sick is your brother?” he asked, a bit curious.
I fell in silence. I don’t know if I’m going to answer her question or not but in the end, I just had a subtle whiff and spoke. “It’s incurable…” I said.
“I’m sorry…” he whispered like he said something he shouldn’t.
A faint smile crept on my lips. “No worries. How about you just give me some of your food as a sign for piece offering?” I grinned.
“I don’t mind. You’re free to eat my food,” he said then pushed it a bit to me.
“I was just kidding. You don’t have to…”
