Andra Erlina Milburn’s Point of View
“Oh, you’re here, Miss Milburn. You’re Andrius’ guardian, right?” The doctor greeted me nicely.
I chuckled and nodded my head. “Yes, doc.”
A small smile also crept on his lips. He closed the chart and put it on the desk before readying himself to tell something to me.
“Andrius is improving, Miss Milburn. Although his chances are too low for the past few weeks, it seems like he was doing great now and I can see that he is somehow improving,” the doctor said with a relief in his voice.
I do understand what he means. What Andrius had is incurable. I do understand that the doctor didn’t sugarcoat what he said and I’m glad that my brother is making progress.
What a relief. Somehow, the burdens inside me has been slaughtered with a small percent. Seeing how things started to get in our way makes me think and wish that it may continue until we’re no longer having financial problems though it’s natural to have one in life.
Believe me, sometimes, you’re just going to wish to be born rich for you feel numb and not hurt worrying about money and why you’re so broke when those kids who are your age could do things they wanted and their parents could provide.
I grew without having any, given the fact that my parents were having huge fights over financial problems we can't even resolve until they decided to split and no one dares to come and save us.
"I'd like to ask you a question, doc," I said without any hindrance of thoughts.
He gestured his hands and nodded his head. "Yeah, sure. Go ahead. What is it all about?"
"W-Well… since my brother is already making progress, is there any chance I could get him back to our house? It's like… I will be the one who's going to take care of him and meditate in our house?" I asked. "Because you know… hospital bills are now getting high and I don't think I could still cover it, especially since I still haven't found a stable job and there's no one that could help us right now." I asserted.
He nodded. "I understand you, hija. But rest assured you're already free to pull him out the hospital yet you still have to some charges and you will be negotiating with the registrar and he will undergo another therapy as well since he badly needed it for him to be stable."
I took a deep breath after hearing the words 'pay some of the charges'. I wonder how much is already our bill? For sure, it would take up to a thousand dollars or more than that especially when he has been here for quite some time now.
"How much would it be, doc?"
"Hmm, let's see. In terms of payment, you will be only dealing with the registrar."
"Thank you, doc," I said then he only smiled before excused himself to see more patients.
Good thing, he was really nice and not others who's going to turn their backs on you when you have none. Although someone was helping us, said by the hospital, the one they were providing were small yet a big help for us, though, I don't know who they are exactly.
I came back inside Andrius' room and saw that he was still there. The sun was now setting and I'd like to comeback to Zacarias' penthouse for me to got some of my things in order for me to stay here. Some of my school belongings are there and some are in our apartment. It was minutes drive away from here and the only option I got was to travel back to his penthouse and get the necessities I will be needing.
"Stay here for a while, I'll just go get some of my things and come back, alright?"
"Alright, be quick, okay?"
I only rolled my eyes at him. As soon as I came outside, I immediately waited for a cab to pass by yet nothing was passing by. I waited for another couple of minutes, not until I decided to come across the streets and started walking down.
From here, I could now already see the building that Zacarias and his family owns. It was their company, and you wouldn't mind seeing a tall building like this.
Well, they are wealthy. Sure, they do have money for construction. As I was walking down on the sidebar of the road, I saw a sweet cafe just near where we are and saw that Zacarias was here, who was unfortunately with a girl, who is familiar to me and the only girl that has been making my blood boil over again.
They were having a conversation. I saw how Bianca Li started to cling on him and the only thing that Zacarias was doing was to smirk and let Bianca to pull her arms around his hands.
"Damn," I muttered silently.
He said that he wasn't interested. But what the hell are they doing in a cafe like this? Obviously, they bought foods and drinks. I am not sure what they were doing but it seems like a date in my own interpretation.
My heart suddenly skips a beat after hearing this. I chewed hard before calming myself not to come inside making for them to see me.
The picture of the flirty Bianca Li irks me the most.
Bitterness crept in my way. It is when I decided to move faster and was thinking of something that may be amazing for this. I was hesitant if I'd go to Zacarias' penthouse when I pushed through.
He wasn't here. Good thing, only Felicia was here. The one was who's in the castle or organization. I immediately went to my room, grabbed all the papers and books, even some of my clothes. It took me over thirty minutes because of listing all the things I will be needing.
I was about to leave his penthouse when the door opened flashing the manly figure of Zacarias and a girl behind him.
Well, what the hell am I going to expect when I saw them talking earlier, huh?
