Tiara's POV "Oh my God, Tiara, what are you doing here?" It's Monday morning, I woke up early to dress, I was to resume at the company by 8 am. When I got to the company, I walked to the 16th floor where the finance department is. There, I met Emma, my college mate. She was a nice person. "Emma?" I called surprised to see her here. "I got a job here yesterday in this department, what about you?" "Oh, me?, right... I'm the team lead of the finance department." "Oh wow, really?" I was surprised "I'm happy to meet you here." "Welcome to the finance team. I'll show you to your desk and introduce you to everyone." Emma told me happily I followed Emma to the finance department, trying to take in everything at once. The office was bustling with activity, and I could feel the energy and excitement in the air. As we walked, Emma introduced me to the rest of the team, including Jamie, a charming young analyst who showed me to my workstation. Throughout the day, I met various colleagues, each with their unique personalities and quirks. There was Rachel, the HR manager, who explained the company's policies and procedures. And then there was David, a senior analyst, who offered valuable advice on navigating the company's systems. As the day went on, I started to feel more at ease. Emma showed me to the conference room, where we had a team meeting to discuss ongoing projects. I took notes and tried to absorb as much information as possible. After the meeting, Emma handed me a stack of documents and files. "These are the office documents for the finance department. I need you to review them and get familiar with our procedures." I nodded, taking the documents from her. "Don't worry, I'll review them thoroughly." As I sat at my desk, poring over the documents, Jamie came over to introduce herself properly. "Hey, Tiara, I'm Jamie, it's nice meeting you. We need some fresh eyes in the finance department." I smiled, feeling grateful for her warm welcome. "Thanks, Jamie. I'm excited to be here." As we chatted, I realized that Jamie was not only knowledgeable about the company's financials but also had a great sense of humor. We laughed and joked, and I felt like I'd found someone I can talk with in the department. The rest of the day flew by in a whirlwind of meetings, introductions, and paperwork. As I packed up to leave, Emma came over to check in with me. "How was your first day, Tiara?" she asked, smiling. I smiled back, feeling exhausted but exhilarated. "It was great, thanks for asking. I'm looking forward to tomorrow." Emma nodded, her expression serious. "Good. Because tomorrow, we're going to dive into the Smith account project. Asher is expecting big things from us." My heart skipped a beat at the mention of Asher's name. I had heard rumors about his demanding nature. Anyways, I know I'm going to do my best.
