I was scared. Not just for them… but for myself too.
Everything had changed overnight.
One minute I was the girl being beaten up in school, thrown to the ground like trash, and the next I was... locked in a golden cage padded with golden silk.
My phones…yes, now plural were replaced. A brand new iPhone and the latest MacBook with a silver casing and my initials engraved in delicate cursive on the back sat on my desk.
My room didn’t feel like a room anymore. It was a luxury suite. They even painted the walls with my favorite colorz purple and added blackout curtains that could be drawn with a remote. A small fridge sat in the corner with my favorite snacks and bottled water. Someone had been listening way too closely.
