Horror consumed me as I watched Dante crumple to the ground, his skin cracking and bleeding from the silver light and now it was Cassian. The sound he made…. that guttural scream of pure agony would haunt me forever.
"Stop it!" I screamed at Jerome, struggling against his iron grip. "You're killing him! You're hurting my brothers!"
Jerome's violet eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he held the silver disc steady, keeping the deadly beam focused on my fallen brother. "They're not your brothers! They f*****g interfered with my business," he said coldly. "They should have stayed at their precious party."
