Raven's Pov
When I woke up, the first thing I noticed was the sunlight flooding my room.
The soft golden rays danced across the floor like they belonged here and weren’t intruding into the world of vampires and hidden truths.
I blinked….then gasped, sitting up quickly.
So many thoughts crashed into my head at once.
The ball… Mum… the pain… Cassian…
I held my breath, half-expecting to feel the same sharp cramps from yesterday, but they were dull now. Barely there and my body still felt a little heavy, but it was nothing compared to the fire it was yesterday.
I stood, brushed the sleep from my eyes, and wrapped my robe tighter around me. The house was too quiet. For a place full of supernatural boys and an event that was supposed to take place, it was… still.
