“Look over there!” Aurora yells, pointing off to the distance, and our heads raised in alarm. On a footpath leading up to the top of the hill is the silhouette of a figure on her horse, her body swaying in place as she gazed down in our direction. We might not be able to see her face or identify her really, but it’s pretty obvious that figure was Princess Marietta. “Do you think she knows we’re the ones following her?” Aurora asks, leaning her chin on my shoulder. “Most possibly.” I sigh, turning to glance at her sideways. “Why else would she wait there and watch for us.
