Picking up the transmuter off the floor, I walk towards the closet and slip it safely back into its bag. The sound of chattering voices made me release a sigh of relief while I listen to Valerie and Aquamarine argue with each other about who knows what.
Stepping back out, I knew I had to intervene before a fight breaks out.“Can’t you guys just get along with one another?”
“Blame Aquamarine, she’s just so insufferable.” Valerie snaps, throwing her hands in the air as she lets out a grunt of frustration.
She stomps towards her bed with a huff and throws herself onto the mattress, falling face down with a bounce.
“At least I did not expose our identities!” Aquamarine retorts in anger, her words causing me to stare between the two in disbelief.
