A deep silence filled the room for a few seconds, with all eyes staring, some at Aiden and some at me.
"So, Mr. Aiden Harrison, do you know why you were called here to this meeting?" Alexander uttered, breaking the silence.
"I- I mean – I had no idea today was the project commencement, Sir," Aiden whispered.
"Don't you hear yourself? You were here yesterday, and the news reached you all that the project would commence today. Now, you're telling us you didn't know. Do you think this is some sort of joke, Mr. Aiden?" Alexander's tone echoed with burning rage.
