The ride home was a bit better for Kael, for Arcane was forced to slow down due to the dog on board. Arfur was sitting in the middle of the backseat, preventing Kael and Arthur to whisper, and so Kael resorted to doing improvised sign language and hoped that Arthur can read minds.
Though Kael could see that Arcane still remained cool, singing along the songs on the radio, clueless of Kael’s inner turmoil, he still felt uneasy and restless. After all, it was only seconds after he and Arthur had kissed that they’d heard Arcane’s voice near them. And they were relatively far from the clearing, meaning that one should walk a few metres to reach them.
He surely saw!
But Kael was even more distressed. Why didn’t Arcane say anything if he had seen them kissing? D
