[December 24. Saturday. 23:56] Ever since he came home Kael had locked himself up inside his room, refusing to come out unless it was Apollo who called his name downstairs. He was in no mood to celebrate the holidays, for it was too much to handle. The last thing that Arthur had made just for him was broken, tucked under his bed frame, useless. It felt like something else was severed other than the fibres of the wood of his board. It felt as if the final string that connected them both had been cut along with that incident at the hill.
