Chapter 14- Feeling her pain

1657 Words
Xavier POV Life hasn't been terrible. Nor has it been great. My wolf whimpered, agreeing with my next thought. We both love and long for our mate. We know she was broken and hope that we can be the one to fix her. To heal her. To love her, and cherish her. I will treat her like a queen and my treasure when she comes back. I can't say I necessarily love her, yet.. But i want to, I want to get to know her. So I can say I love her. I rolled out of bed and threw on some shorts. OMG. I had to pee! Bolting from my bed i dashed into the bathroom, slamming the door while doing a little dance. Hoping I didn't pee myself. My legs kept hopping around trying to hold it in till I was finally able to relieve myself. “Ha! You looked like a 5 year old girl doing the potty dance! Ha!” My wolf Aster died laughing.  “Oh, wait. You were doing the potty dance! HAHA!” I could only picture him rolling over laughing at this point. Ugh. Why moon goddess? Why did I have to be paired with THIS wolf? I cried mentally. Aster scoffed in offence. “You know it was funny. You would have laughed too. Also you know you love me” He snickered. I couldn't help but laugh. However, my day couldn't stay great. Walking back into my room, I glanced over. My bed. We should be sharing it, she- she should be here. I glance at my closet. Eyes gazing it over what should be Her closet, right next to mine. She should be next to me. I sighed walking out of my room. I jogged down the stairs into the kitchen. Just as I round the corner, my mouth begins to water. An amazing aroma floods my nostrils. Mmmmmm. I speed my way into the kitchen, immediately plopping down on the island chair. “Good morning Alpha!” The head chef beamed. “Good morning Mrs. Eleanor.” I greeted back while she handed me a stacked plate of food. Bacon, waffles, sausage, cinnamon rolls with strawberry and cream glaze, and a large cup of orange juice. That was a recipe for a delicious breakfast. I quickly ate my food and put my plate in the sink. Jogging out the door to the training grounds. Today I will help with the packs training. I do this consistently and then train on my own. I basically help improve them, get them better at fighting, but NEVER give up all my tactics. As an Alpha I should be the strongest. And undefeatable. So if a member or my pack turned I should have moves they don't know. Now, I have faith in my pack, I don't believe they would all turn on me willingly, but I should still be prepared.  I finally reach the crowd of my pack members that are training this morning. I have most of the teens and young adults here this morning. The sun was finally starting to rise. the pink, purple, and orange hues spreading across the sky as the glowing sun peeked over the mountains and tree tops. The grass had morning dew while the golden glow from the sun reflected off the grass. The air clear and crisp. “Good morning!” I boomed.  “Good morning alpha!” My pack cheered back. I smiled. “Alright, we are going to start off with groups today. Each leader of said group will help you warm up. We are going based off ages today so if I call your age go to the instructor I say. OK! If you're 17 through 19 line up behind your head warrior, Melissa. She will be working on hand to hand combat skills! 20 through 22! Line up behind your gamma, Damon. You will be working on speed and endurance. 22-26, line up behind your beta, Jake! You will be working on overall physical fitness! Finally, if you are 16 and have not shifted yet, line up with Melissa. If you are 16 and have shifted then your with me.” I spoke loudly, making sure instructions were clear. I looked at my three group leaders in front of me. Nodding to Mel, Jake, and Damon, they turned around to their groups and went their separate ways.I turned around to mine, giving a slight nod to them all. I told them we would start at the edge of the woods so we jogged over. They lined up in a straight line so I could see them all. Standing in front of them. Today I am helping the newly shifters get used to shifting into their wolves. “Ok, we are working on getting comfortable shifting. Incase of attack this is very important. You will also be able to start training in your wolf forms, so get comfy with it. Learn to control your emotions! Strong emotions like anger can force your wolf to take over and shift. You lose all control over your words and actions. If you are not use to shifting, having your wolf forcefully take over can be very draining. Even if you are use to shifting it can be draining. Alright let's begin.” I spoke calmly and clearly, trying to make sure they understood. They all nod their heads. So I continue. “Relax, close your eyes. Began to picture your wolf. The details. Don't be afraid of the pain, don't try to stop it. That will only make it harder.” I kept my voice low, and comforting.  I have about 14 teens with me, and I can see a few of them began the first step. I see relaxed faces, but a few of their faces contort in pain. I walk down the line of kids, stopping at the smallest girl. Her face tensed in pain.  “Relax, you will be fine. Embrace the pain, your wolf will be quick to follow.” I whispered to her, while resting a hand on her shoulder. Having an alpha near newly shifted wolves can help bring their wolf forward, sometimes though it makes the wolves nervous. I jerk my head to the right after hearing a grunt followed by a thud. I turn to see what was one of my students on all fours. A pretty gray wolf standing in her place.I walk over to the wolf, standing right infront of it. I nod my head, smile, and say, “Welcome to the pack”. I know they have already shifted, I'm just getting them comfortable with it, but this is the first time I've seen them shift. The pretty silver gray wolf howls at my welcoming. The wolf then bows down, greeting back. What's your name “hello Alpha, my name is Sage” the she wolf spoke with confidence.  Wolf by wolf they began to shift as I did the best I could to comfort them, and encourage them. I began to get a headache but just shook it off. Doing my best to not focus on this pain, im an alpha i dont have time for a stupid headache. However the pain only began to intensify. A wave of worry, and fear washed over me, which had my senses quickly rising. My wolf began to slowly stir as I excused myself for a moment from the group. Walking away from the teens and wolves I held my head. The pain was only getting worse as emotions only got stronger. They would change frequently so it became difficult to figure out why I was feeling these things. Whose feelings were they? A sudden pain made me step back as my wolf jumped up alert in my head. He began to whimper and pace around. Something really isn't right. Just as I was about to ask my wolf what was going on i see my brother, Xander, running towards me yelling my name. He approached me quickly and came to a halt only a few feet away. He looked worried as he placed his hands on his knees trying to catch his breath. “Its-Its” Xander tried to speak. “Breath first” Once his breathing finally calmed, he spoke again. “It's Kylie. She's in trouble, I can feel it.” He finally said. I don't even have time to think over the words he just said as a sharp pain shoots through my body. I scream out trying to  stay standing. Stumbling alittle I finally stabilize myself only to feel another sharp pain pierce throughout my body. As the lighting like pain shot through my body I dropped to my knees. Screaming through the pain. Adding to it I felt the waves of emotion again. My headache became even worse, and I knew if this pain didn't leave soon, I wouldn't be able to stay awake much longer. However I didn't care about that. Knowing that this had to be Kylie's pain, I would take it. In hopes she didn't have to. Not being able to hold myself up on my knees anymore, my body fully drops to the ground, laying on my back. My hands fly up to hold my pounding head, until I heard the voice I was longing to hear. “P-please. I'm sorry Xavier. Please come save me!” She cried.  “Where are you baby? I said with urgency. But she didn't respond. I screamed out again. She's hurt, needs help, and I don't know where she is! I will find her. I only hope this isn't her father, I WIll KILL HIM. Along with anyone that brings her pain. I will find you baby! As the pain became too much the world around me began to fade. Crying out one last time my body gives out. And I welcome the darkness.
