Kylie POV
“Doctor, I need to continue my training.” I heard a laugh from the corner.
“Not on my watch. Doctor says no. That means no.” the girl in the corner spoke. She had a serious face that frightened me the way she said it. Who is she to tell me that though!
“Doctor, am I free to leave? I am feeling quite tired and would like to go rest.`` I lied. I had a training appointment like right now. I needed to get there.
“Well. rest in your home will probably be best. Somewhere you recognize well and feel comfortable in. so yes you can go.``
I jumped out of the bed and sped walk through the hallways. I made it out the clinic door and made a b-line to the gym.
Luckily nobody was in here. I had it all to myself. I started with the treadmill. Running a few miles as I worked up my heart. I did some light lifting then I moved to the punching bag. I started off with my light punches. But then increasing to reckless punching. I put all my might into them. Tears began to roll down my face as I thought of each person who has caused me harm. I imagined I was punching people who hurt me. Who caused me this pain.
I could barely see the punching bag now as my tears blurred my vision. I kept swinging even if I didn't make contact with the bag. The more I did this the harder my heart beat. To the point I could control it anymore. Feeling like I have a weight on my chest I gasped for air. My ribs flared in pain again. I held my chest hoping it would help me breathe.
I stumbled back, my legs giving away. After I hit the floor my skin began to itch. I couldn't control anything. Small patches of fur started to sprout. I needed to calm down but I couldn't. I pulled the shirt away from my neck feeling like it was choking me. I gasped for air as more fur appeared on my skin. I pulled my knees to my chest. Crying hysterically at this point. I grabbed at my hair. Hoping this would all stop.
The fur on my arm was white. Not grey. If I shift it will be my true form. Not the disguise. My finger started to extend into claws. Suddenly I felt a hand on my back. A body pressed itself into me. Their hands rubbed soothingly along my back. I couldn't see who it was yet.
More fur sprouted on my arms as I tried to calm my breathing. This person's presence helped more than I could express. I grabbed onto their arm for support. Finally I was able to get my breathing under control. The fur on my arms vanished. The start of my claws coming out sunk back in. my ribs went to a dull ache. Only then I realized who it was. She was humming the same toon she was earlier. I look up and see baby blue wings wrapped around us. Creating a safe barrier.
“Thank you.” I told her. I don't know how she was here, but she is. And yet again she helped me. She nodded her head.
“I know you won't back down from training, and I know you still have magic training still. So, let me help you with your magic today.
I smiled and nodded my head. She helped me up and took me somewhere else. We walked back into the woods. Once we were where she wanted us she turned to me and said let's start with a run. I nodded my head. I've already done a bit of running today but i enjoy it.
Then I saw her start to strip. “What are you doing?” I questioned her.
“Well we are going for a run, aren't we?”
“Well, yes. But that doesn't require taking your shirt off.”
“Look, I know what you are. A hybrid. Part angel, part wolf.”
“H-how?”
“I can smell it silly. Cant you tell the same?” She looked confused. But I'm the one confused here.
“Well. no. inst everyone here an angel?”
“For the most part, yes.”
“Are you an angel?” I asked her.
“Again for the most part, yes. I'm also part wolf.” my eyes shot up in surprise.
“Really?! I can't smell it.”
“That makes sense. My Angel part is stronger. My mom is a very powerful angel. I got that side first and then about a month later I got my wolf. I'm not entirely sure why my wolf came before 18. My dad is an omega, but we just chalked it up to my mom's strong bloodline.”
“Hm. okay. That's pretty cool. I'm glad I found someone like me. I wasn't sure there would be any more like us.” she giggled a bit. I was going to ask what was funny but she stepped behind a tree and a moment later came back as a wolf. So I did the same. Of course I shifted into my grey wolf. I may like this girl, but I'm not about to give away my identity.
We took off running. Their forest was truly the prettiest. But I still couldn't wrap my head around her being the same type of hybrid as me. And the fact she could tell what I was and others couldn't. We seemed so similar.
We ran for an hour or so then came back. She helped with some magic training, wanting to try and see if I could do anything she could. And surprisingly she was right. There was a lot that I could do that she could. She also asked me if she could be my trainer. I giggled at her. She is younger than me, by a few years but still.she only told me her mom always trained her. That she was preparing her for a big role and that I could benefit from the same training. She reassured me this would help me.
Looks like I have a new trainer.
