Chapter 29-Mom, i need your help

Xavier POV

I rushed inside to find my mom. I know it's late, the meeting took way too long, but I need to talk to my mom.

“Hey mom, where are you?” i mindlinked her

“Heading back to the pack house. Me and your father went to check on your brother at the house. Rosealie is a bit worried about him.”

Why? What's wrong, is he ok?”

“Yes he's okay. He's just dealing with some things.”

“Okay. Thank you mom. Can you meet me in my office?

“Sure. be there in a few minutes.”

I hope my brother is ok. I'm glad he has his mate to help him through all this. I made my way to my office, as I thought about what to say first. I was pacing the room when I heard a knock on the door. I told them to come in, expecting my mother..

“Hey Alpha, can I ask something?..” My beta, Jake, walked in.

“Well i believe you just did, but go on”

“About the meeting today..you talked about hybrids a lot. Defended them. It seemed like you know alot about them, or have a strong opinion about them.. Do you know any hybrids?”

“I was defending them. There is no reason to hate someone you don't actually know. They shouldn't judge hybrids since they know nothing about them. Nor will they give them a chance. That's unfair. Hybrids can have great capabilities. You should want that on your side, instead of the opposing side. They are unique, the gods and goddesses paired different species together, who are we to go against their judgment. As for how much i know about them..well i don't really know anything. Beside there are couples out there, of different species that loved each other. Creating a hybrid. Why should we judge their love. And… you could say I know a hybrid..” I smiled.

“Who are they? Can I meet them?”

“How do you feel about hybrids jake?”

“Well...i don't know. I don't know anything about them, and I've never met one. So my opinion is neutral..when i meet a hybrid then maybe i can form a better opinion. As of right now, I have nothing against them.”

I smiled. That's good to hear my beta doesn't hate hybrids. He has an open mind, and that's exactly what I need from him. 

“Well Jake, I'm glad to hear you're not against them.” I paused. “But you have met one before” I lightly chuckled. His face was filled with confusion. It was funny as he thought of all the people he met, trying to figure out which could have been a hybrid. 

“Alpha, I can't think of anyone I met being a hybrid.”

“Well Jake, they are just other people. You can't just look at them and know.”

He was silent for a moment before he spoke again.

“Well if i have met them before, then some hybrids must be good. Because i don't get along with bad people.'' We both smiled as another knock sounded on the door. A few moments later my mom walked in and my beta dismissed himself.

“Hey son, how was the meeting?” my mother asked. I smiled. I love hearing her voice. 

“Um, well to say the least it was interesting. We spoke about..hybrids.” she quirked an eyebrow. 

“Mom, how do you feel about hybrids?” She paused a moment before answering.

“Son, I'm not sure your belief of them. But I know for a fact you shouldn't judge them. I know I raised you better than to judge something you're unaware of. And you, yourself being a hybrid, i don't believe you can hate them. Also going off the fact you were excited to receive the news of being one, i am positive you don't hate them. Which is good. I raised you right.”

 She paused again. It almost seemed as if she was talking to herself. What is going on? She was looking at the ground murmuring these things. Ok so she is just rambling on and praising herself about how good she raised me. Wonderful. I spoke again, gaining her attention.

“Mother, how do you feel about hybrids?”

“They are unique. I still can't understand why they are banned from life. Our gods have blessed souls of holding power, being different from others. You see, even when you have the same hybrid, they are still different. Each species has unique abilities that were gifted to us. And each being in those species holds different strengths in their abilities. Like ranks.

 For us alpha has the highest rank, then there are female alphas who mostly are mated to alphas, making them a luna. Those special women, to me, are very special, they are strong. Anyway, then you have beta, delta, gamma, omega. Larger packs have more ranks if the alpha so chooses. Those ranks can determine their strength and power.

 So when you mix them, with other species. The results are endless. A hybrid's strength, and power, is determined by so much. They are unique and rare creatures. They should be valued son. We should protect them. I think hybrids are gifts. We should treat them as such. You, my dear, are a hybrid.”

I smiled again hearing my mother say those things.

“Mom, if we are to come across any hybrids I want to provide a safe home for them. Let them be a part of our pack. As long as they carry a good heart.” Every species has good and evil. Including hybrids. 

“Is that what you called me up here for? To ask my opinion of hybrids?” 

“Oh no. I just got side tracked. At the meeting we also spoke about a mate ceremony. Many alphas and pack members are still searching for their mates, and lunas. They need help guiding their packs. So that was the solution. To throw a party intivinting all wolves. In hopes they find their match.” she raised her brows, wondering where i was going with this. But I could tell she had a feeling already, as a slight smile made its way onto her face.

“The alphas chose our pack to host the ceremony.” She squealed a bit as her smile widened. She threw her arms around my neck.

“Mom,” I laughed. “There's more.” She stepped back, looking at me with an excited expression. 

“We aren't only throwing one party, this will be a more consistent thing. The first few can be held closer together, then maybe once a month for a bit. Eventually we can do this once a year, i don't want to host that long but it's a good thought. However, I need your help to plan these parties. And I have an idea for finding my mate. It will fit perfectly with the party plans.”
