Xander POV
It's-i just, why? Why is this so hard without her? I feel so down lately. I feel even worse for my brother. He lost his mate, and I'm the one feeling sorry for myself over it?
"She is our friend and luna. You have every right to be upset, sad, to miss her. We were her first friend. My wolf told me. He is trying to comfort me. I can still feel some of her pain and emotion. Even though she is in pain there is this, strong, confident, determination vibe she is emitting.
It feels nice to know that's how she feels. She is so strong! I miss her! Suddenly I began to feel pain. A jab to the stomach and a slap across the face. I grunted in pain. Is she okay? Where is she? Will she make it out of this? We have to find her! I know I'm overreacting at that, but she has been in physical pain alot lately. What I mean by this, is she isn't the one giving herself this pain. Someone is inflicting this on her.. I hope it's not her father! An angelic voice pulled me from my thoughts.
"Are you ok baby?" My beautiful angel mate asked, concerned for me.
"Of course baby. As long as I have you!" "I was just thinking about Kylie and then felt her pain." I muttered the last part.
I looked up at her as she advanced towards me. She wrapped her arms around me. Embracing me through the hard times.
I heard her sniffle, she is crying now.
"Shhh it's okay baby. We will find her" I comforted her. She giggled through the tears.
"I meant to comfort you!" My mate Rosy giggled at me.
"Baby, we are here for each other. I love you." We both smiled.
After Kylie ran I turned to comfort and get to know my mate. We haven't completed the bond. We just didn't feel it was right yet. With everything going on. We decided to wait.
I decided to go see my brother today. Me and Rose grabbed our things and headed out the door. I grabbed her purse, and I grabbed her hand. And we left. I opened the car door for her as she got settled in. I handed her purse to her and leaned in to buckle her up. Click. I leaned into her and gave her a small kiss.
"I love you" I told her. She smiled telling me she loved me.
I closed her door for her, then I used my wolf speed and got to my side. Opening my door I hopped in, started the car while closing the door. The engine roared to life. Putting the car in drive, we rode off. Flying down the road my mate brought up a conversation.
"Do you think she is ok?" Rosy whispered.
"Baby I'm not sure. But she is very strong! I can feel her determination and strength through our bond." I told her.
"She is the strongest person I have met." She told me proudly.
"She is the kindest, sweetest, and most gentle soul I know." My mate spoke proudly of our friend. And everything she said was true. Kylie is strong, kind, and gentle. She comforts her friends. I shifted the gear and wrapped my hand around my mates again. Giving it a small squeeze to reassure her.
We finally pulled up to the gates for the packhouse.
The guards easily let us through, knowing exactly who I am. I slowed on the gas nearing the pack house. I pulled through the huge half circle driveway. Going through there was a small parking area to the side. That's exactly where I parked. Turning off the engine, I let go of my mate's hand to step out the car. I ran over to her side after closing my door, to open hers.
I offered my hand which she gladly took while stepping out. I grabbed her purse, closed her door, and slung my arm over her shoulder. The hand closest to mine she reached up to grab my hand that's over her shoulder. I guess she still wanted to hold hands. It's okay. I love that she loves me. I love her so much.
"Thank you baby." My mate told me. Thank you? For what?
"For what baby?" I asked her.
"For being mine." She said happily.
"Of course baby. I love you. Nothing will change that." I told her with my whole heart.
"I was scared for a mate. I thought you would reject me. I mean I'm a rogue." She stated shly.
"Doesn't matter to me baby. You're beautiful and the best mate I could wish for!" I told her. My mate. She's so wonderful.
We came up to the door and I opened it for her. We walked in and she took off. She came to see some friends. I chuckled at her as I walked up to my brother's room. Up the stairs down the hallway. Finally at his door. I knocked on the door, surprised to hear my brother's tone.
"Come in brother!" My brother Xavier chirped.
What's got him in a good mood? I shrugged.
Twisting the doorknob I pushed my way through. My brother rose up from his chair and turned to me with a smile plastered on his face. What a change? He's been so down lately.
"Hey brother! How you doing?" I questioned.
"You know what, not bad." He said in relief
"I'm glad to hear that! What changed the mood?" I was curious.
"Well me and my wolf had a talk. Then we went for an amazing run." He said with a sigh and a smile. He has confidence again! I'm so happy for him.
