Chapter 35- you will understand in time

Kylie POV

Its been about a week since i found out what my future holds. Today me and Legacy are going shopping. I head out of my room into the kitchen to grab a bite to eat.  I love walking out here first thing in the morning, the mouth watering aroma of freshly made food always awakens my senses for the day. I peer into the kitchen to see some french toast, eggs, and some bacon being laid on the table top. 

“Smells wonderful as always, Ivy!” I sing to her. She giggles before we both sit down and eat. 

“This is amazing as always, ivy, thank you. Hey, will you work with Zoey sometime today. I haven't hung out with her alot lately, training and stuff. I don't want her to get lonely. Maybe you two can meet up with us later while we all shop!”

“Oh yeah that's a good idea. Zoey really isn't a morning person.'' We both laugh. I finish up my food and rinse off my plate in the sink. Now time to shower, quikly i grab my clothes and hurry into the bathroom.

I undress as I let the water warm up, and once the steam fills the room I jump in. I pour the soap into my hands and lather it up in my hair. Since I wont be doing physical training today, I'm washing my hair in the morning. I move on to washing my body with my favorite soap. Quikly i shave my legs and under my arms, I finish doing that and go to rinse out the conditioner in my hair. 

All of a sudden the water around me stops falling, instead it turns into visible droplets. It just floats there! I freeze not knowing what to do, or what just happened. What the f***k!? I rush out of the shower, and quickly throw my clothes on. I don't bother washing my face or brushing my teeth. I do not trust the water anymore! What just happened! After putting my shoes on I hurried out of the house. Running to Legacy's house. As I run I begin to feel a slight string in my back, but it quickly vanishes. Weird.

Knocking rapidly on the door legacy opens it with urgency. I don't bother to wait for her to let me in as I welcome myself.

“Well good morning to you as well. What's going on?”

“Guess what just happened!” I say waving my hands around.

“What?” 

“I was showing, okay? And-and the water it just- stopped. Like it stopped falling, it just sat there. Floating!'' I look oer and she is smiling at me.

“What?!”

“Congrats” she tells me. Calmly but excitingly.

“What?”

“You just received another power. Congrats. This means you are more than just a plant guardian. Which i already knew that but this gives us another power to work on.” she smiled proudly at me.

“Oh. This is.. exciting. I have two powers!” I beamed.

“Yes you do. I can't wait to see how many more you get.” she smiled, whispering the last part proudly.

“Alright let's get on the road!” she hollered.

           I beamed as we hopped in her rig. It was a nice small car. Perfect for someone who doesn't have much company. She drove a tiny Porsche, in a royal blue color. 

           Yes, she's 15 and driving. But in the supernatural things are different.

          We drove to the mall. Windows down, our hair flying in the wind. Music blared as we sang our hearts out the beat of the drum. Pulling into the parking lot she lowered the music. Then we got out. I'm glad her and I can hang out, do more than training. I really like her.                                                          

         We stride into the mall with smiles gracing our faces.

       "First stop, drinks! We can do some minor shopping with the two of us, and later when the other two get here we will do more of the clothes shopping." I agreed with her and we made our way to….a cute coffee shop. She ordered a large salted caramel macchiato. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie. Yum! We then went on our way.

       We went into ulta. And another makeup store, I already forgot. I decided maybe it's time to try make up for self love and not the opposite. Not to cover up bruises and scars. I just got some simple stuff for now. When I want to glam up.

       Since I was shopping with a fifteen year old she only got minimum stuff like I did. I wouldn't allow her much makeup anyway. She's beautiful, and doesn't need a complete full face of makeup. 

       I also grabbed some good skin care stuff. I've always used a bar of soap, but now I have some better items. Like moisturizer, for my face. We walked into a cute clothes store, I didn't see much of anything I wanted. So I just watched as legacy picked out and modeled some outfits. She told me that her mom has a bunch of money, so not to worry about the costs.

        With the season rolling around they had the mall all decorated up. Red, green, and blue all over. I, having never been to this mall didnt know what kind of stores they had. So the two of us just walked around enjoying the scenery and looking at all of the stores. When either of us find one that spikes an interest we go in. And this mall is massive! 

      So far we have only walked maybe a quarter of it. Of course our pace is slow, but still! Finally ivy, and Zoey show up. 

Let's get this girls day on!

      The four of us quickly get a new drink and start to look at every clothes shop they had to offer. Ivy and legacy mostly paid for the stuff. Since they actually had an income.  

     All three of the girls are currently in the changing rooms. I hear the door click and out comes zoey, followed by legacy, and finally ivy. We are doing casual at the moment.

     Ivy has cute blue jean bell bottoms, and a white ruffle top. Legacy has some black ripped jeans accompanied by a white and light blue top. Finally, Zoey has some black leggings with a pink patterned top.

    "Ivy, yes. That looks super cute on you. Legacy, very..teenage looking." We all giggle."but looks good. It matches you. Zoey, the leggings are good, the top is good. But not together."

     "OK. That's fine. Thank you, i'm not very good at styling clothes." Next all the girls did some summer dresses. I'm not comfortable in dresses so I didn't even look. All three girls came out at the same time. Ivy came out in a floor length cotton dress. At the top it was white and the rest was a gradient of a light sage to an army green color. This totally matches her. 

    "Wow. Ivy, that looks great." Legacy is in a cute yellow knee length dress. And Zoey is in an orange, pink, purple gradient dress. Just like a sunset. I smiled. Me and Zoey had that in common. We both loved to watch as the sky was adorned with color. 

    "You all look great. Let's check out." They agreed and we went on to the next store. Once everyone was done with clothes they went on to jewelry. Then they wanted shoes, I got a new pair of black sneakers. Quickly we went into Victoria's secret and grabbed some undergarments. 

     Finally they decided they were all done. So we headed to the food quart to grab some food. We just ordered a pizza and each got our own drinks. 

     We were heading to sit down when someone bumped into my shoulder. "Alpha can't wait to have you" a cold voice laughed tauntingly in my ear. Legacy quickly stepped in front of me. As if to guard me but as soon as I realized what she has done I reverse it and place her behind my back. My arm holding her there. Nobody will hurt her.

    I got a view of who bumped into me, but his back was towards me. You can clearly tell it's a man, not only by the voice but by their body structure and attire. He quickly left as I shook off the man's touch from me. 

      'He didn't physically harm me, you know there are people after you. It's something you have to accept, just let it go. We're ok for now. Your friends are ok.' I told myself in my head.

      Then I turned around and glared at legacy. "legacy what were you thinking?! You don't know what the man's intentions were. He could have hurt you!"

        "I was only trying to protect you."

        "Legacy that is my job! I am here to protect you! You're 15! What about your parents, how would they have felt if you got hurt?" Her eyes watered as she tried to blink back the tears. Once she got herself under control she continued.

      "Kylie, you don't understand how important it is for you to stay safe. It IS my job to protect. I am your trainer, your guide. I need to step into the line of fire and shield you! That's my job. That's my duty."

      "Legacy, that's nonsense. You are younger than me, it's my job to protect you and keep you safe. I can feel it."

       "You will understand with time."

And then we left.
